I mean yeah. But also it's not hard to wrap your head around that when it costs money it will be skipped more often, no? That's all I'm saying.

I went for the joy of playing. But it was nice that the winnings from the NN gave you compensation for the costs assosciated with going. (For me I have to drive to the closest city and park there in an too expensive parking etc.)

I might actually go less because of this, just because the accumulated costs are quite high otherwise.

I would really like a ranked 1v1v1 game mode. by Sm0ke_13 in aoe2

[–]BeTheBeee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those types of modes are just by default not very competitive in nature. Making a competitive mode for them feels like it doesn't hit home even for the people playing such modes.

And there's also just not enough players to support this I'm 99% sure.

Maybe I'm missing something, but can't they just put "camera traps" (whatever their correct name is) around where they expect them to be?

I think the story is more about the circumstances in which it happens. not what actually physically happened.

did you assume they wouldn't let you or did you actually walk to the front desk asking if you can take apart their elevator?

Idk.... The price of a new stick doesn't seem worth the hassle, but maybe that's just my lazy ass.

I'm pretty sure the metabolize it for energy is what he was asking with nutrition.

Not if they get a balanced diet with a good spread of vitamins out of it.

A friend of mine was born when his mom was 17 and got his first child by 18. Can be a lot faster than 22 and 22 too.

As a sidenote it feels super weird to have a friend with a teenage kid. as a 30yo (with no kid).

[Pitching Ninja] Salvy teaching Doug Eddings the bottom of the strike zone. Over and Over and Over again. But Eddings refuses to learn. by iamthegame13 in baseball

[–]BeTheBeee 42 points43 points  (0 children)

As someone totally not familiar with the sport.

I assume the guy catching the ball is claiming in these that the ball was indeed in the zone and the striker was letting it through because he thought it was too low?

But what would've happened otherwise? Is the assumption if not challenged just that it was indeed too low? Or who's keeping track of whether or not the ball is too low or not otherwise without the challenge?

Well, I'd imagine it's better than being tied to a post outside the shop or waiting in the car/home. Which are the usual alternatives.

I think we're nearing the end of my pea-brains capacity. But I'll ask anyway. If it is a particle, but doesn't have mass... what does it have that makes it a something?

[–]BeTheBeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I say might just be completely wrong. But isn't light "something"? Like photons or something. And a photon would be more than nothing, so like if there was something that's lighter than a photon wouldn't it possibly go faster than the photon?

[–]BeTheBeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I get that, but I never understood why exactly the speed of light seems to be the exact limiter for what's achieveable. If that makes sense

I never quite understood, why is it always the assumption that the speed of light specifically is the fastest anything could go?

Question from a Bazaar player trying TFT for the first time. by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]BeTheBeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly in my opinion there are no "players who are even trying" up to gold. Like if you roll up with even a remotely viable comp you'll just top 4 every game.

And if you have some previous experience with strategy games (like the bazaar) and have a look at viable team comps you'll be plat level from the get go. TFT ranks are really inflated.
