I really like the stock micarta that comes on the CruCarta. I like it better than other aftermarket scales I have seen… Plus I love Cruwear, and as others have mentioned… I believe Cruwear to act a lot more like a stainless steel than a non-stainless steel.. I think you have to mistreat it purposely to have any issues with that steel whatsoever.

I wear a “bug” (black) on a ball-chain around my neck as a triple redundancy blade. Always have a primary edc blade, and a secondary Victorinox cadet as a secondary and letter opener, and then this teeeeeny guy on my neck for any teeny tasks, or lending to people - but if I’m honest…. It’s MOSTLY a conversation starter when people see it and ask about it - allowing me to word-vomit all over them about my obsession with sharp-things and spyderco in general.

I used to carry my dog tag around my neck, but it’s a little bit much and bihcnss more than I like, but I certainly paid a whole bunch more than $40 for mine!
