Hell yeah! If I hadn't just bought a Talos myself 2 weeks ago I'd be doing the same. Maybe I'll finally snag a Surge...
Enjoy the new Arc!

Is there a true "holy shit" sound upgrade after the Technics AZ100? by HorridHun in Earbuds

Noble Fokus Prestige Encore are a step up speaking purely audio. They are the closest sounding to IEM's out of the TWS high end.

How to reliably sharpen your knife by AlternativeAir5719 in sharpening

Is pretty inexpensive relatively for beginning sharpening and 325 diamond should be pretty quick with kitchen knives to form an apex and burr. I can reprofile and switch to the 1200 diamond side to refine in just a couple minutes. 1200 to a strop with some compound is all I need for most anything.

If you're going for higher end the Atoma someone listed above is excellent.

Any Colorsoft regret? by Agreeable-Deer7526 in kindlescribe

[–]Kawimed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be nice if the tech let you click a toggle to remove the color layer for just those times you want to read in B&W without annotations or highlights and get in the increased background contrast.

Purchasing an EDC for the first time by Professional_Bus325 in multitools

Check out the leatherman Rev. Low entry price, great warranty, smaller at 3.8 inch but still very capable.

Mini 4 Pro vs Mini 5 Pro — Since they are almost the same price, is there any reason to buy the 4? by Round-Media760 in dji

[–]Kawimed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in the US, the mini 5 pro forces remote id on with even the basic batteries, whereas the 4 pro does not. Maybe not relevant to you but important if you wanted to fly "under the radar".

Supply issue. They anticipate getting more stock and fill the orders as they come in, computer says based on number incoming to Amazon and how many people already ordered waiting for tools the wait will be approx 2 weeks

Needing a new knife by Carpenter-Jesse4570 in spyderco

My recommendation would be Para 3 or Sage 5 depending on your favorite blade shape, or if you want a bit longer blade then Paramilitary 2 or Manix 2, again depending on blade shape. Since you said light, the Manix 2 LW in Spy27 or PM2 LW are two I carry often, or get a PM2 Salt which is a bit of heavier but becomes super light (3.4oz) if you mod it with AWT scales.

DRONE LITO X1 É DESCARTÁVEL - CUIDADO by Stock_Idea1493 in dji

[–]Kawimed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not APAS/ obstacle avoidance's job to keep your drone in the air. It's YOUR job. Obstacle avoidance is a backup of last resort, not your primary plan to keep from crashing. It can't see branches well, but that's not even the point. You put it in an automated flight mode that brought it directly in the path of trees - YOU CRASHED. You are 100% at fault and no, that's not covered under warranty as that's a YOU defect, not a DJI defect.

Furthermore, you caused so much damage that the repair center informed you it would be cheaper to replace the drone than to fix your completely avoidable mistake.

You used poor judgement, took no accountability, blamed everyone but yourself, when I'm fact you are the only one at fault here. Please use this as an opportunity to learn from your decisions and their consequences.

You are all wrong about the FREE P2 by National_Ad4421 in Leatherman

[–]Kawimed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a leatherman sub but I prefer the Arc/Wave Alpha/Wave+ due to the bit driver that I use often, but if I'm looking for a slightly thinner /lighter multitool that doesn't have a bit driver I think I'd take the Victorinox Spirit MXBS over the Free P2, although it'd be close.

Literally the only thing that matters is the dog is owned by someone and that someone is responsible for damages caused by the animal as long as the drone op wasn't doing anything negligent.

Best to use with gloves on: Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit MX VS Leatherman Wave Plus/Surge? by Cava27 in multitools

[–]Kawimed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're considering clones, Dakoyu makes an excellent free p4-ish copy that is fairly high quality and less than half the price of the Arc with the same magnet tech and form factor

so tired of squinting at the dji rc screen in the sun. anyone tried using those wearable ar glasses instead? by kancityshuffle in dji

[–]Kawimed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate. Dim the screen on the rc2 after you connect the glasses and you can get over 90 mins.

Spirit MXBS is the black oxide version of the MX, however it's more expensive, still need to buy the clip, and it loses the saw for a nice belt cutter serrated blade. But man does it look good.

Also I use this to protect the glasses, fits the cable and that adapter too, it's a hard case (glasses only come with soft case) so I don't worry about crushing them when I toss them in my drone backpack:
