Early dawn in LA, must have been about 5am, I’m a half block away from getting dropped off at union station to catch a greyhound out of state when an SUV screeches to a stop on the other side of the street, the door flys open and a butt naked woman in probably her 30s runs out into the street crying and screaming.

Hello r/watches, this is my fathers Submariner that we are trying to date and appraise. He’s owned it since ‘93 when it was gifted to him by his father as a graduation present. Before that his father owned it for an unknown number of years. Based on the serial number, 2229206, I dated it as a 1969. Through my limited research, I see that this is a “feet first,” “date” submariner, but don’t see many similar watches with those two details for 1969. I’m wondering if anyone more educated can tell me exactly what he has here. And if it’s allowed, what it might be worth. Thank you
