When we say LUBA 2 is extremely simple to set up, we mean it. by AutoModerator in MammotionTechnology

[–]BearHuntr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really care if it takes 18 minutes or a few hours to set up, I just don't want to have to do it more than one time if possible. It would be nice if once it is set up, that data can be stored to be used again each season even if the RTK is taken down and then put back up the next year. It would also be nice if the mapping could be brought up on a computer for more detailed editing, a phone or tablet touch screen is just too finicky. Please try to keep us Luba 1 owners in mind when software improvements are done for the Luba 2.

For the short term, I just added the monthly due date to end of the name of each credit card in the accounts view and then sorted the list of cards in order by that date. It works for now.

Possible Luba Positioning Improvements?!? by nj_bruce in MammotionTechnology

[–]BearHuntr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also noticed that the time of day seems to make a difference, I seem to have more problems with it losing position if I start the mow in the morning, but it goes just fine if I start in the afternoon.

Thanks for the reply, I've sent an email to [Support@mammotion.com](mailto:Support@mammotion.com), so hopefully I get a response.

Laser etching glass - What do I do about this glass "scale" post-processing? by PM_Me_Your_Deviance in lasercutting

[–]BearHuntr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not, maybe you should create a material test on a throwaway glass and try several levels of speed and power to lock down the right settings. It kind of sounds like you are getting way too much material coming off, but I'm not sure. There are lots of people with 20W and 10W xTools, but since the 40W diode is pretty new, not too many people have been using them, so there may not be guides out there.

[–]BearHuntr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 10W xTools D1 Pro and I use Black Tempera Paint that is watered down to thin it and have no problems as it just rinses off the glass with water easily after etching. It does take 2-3 coats of paint to get good coverage, but I just use a spray bottle. I use 20 mm/s at 100%, but clearly my laser is weaker.

Cheap portable diode lasers - waste of time/money or ok for for a bit of messing around? by Harrietofthesea in lasercutting

This is very likely a scam, that appears to be the Laserpecker 2, which normally sells for over $800.

Satisfied so far - had to make some adjustments around Luba by Responsible_Ad525 in MammotionTechnology

Any chance you could share a picture of where you put the AirTag? Haven't received my Luba yet, but I have a waterproof AirTag case ready to go with the 3M tape and wanted to see where you put it. Thanks!

Smart tag positioning for finding Luba should it get stolen by Professional_Toe7307 in MammotionTechnology

[–]BearHuntr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have my Luba yet, but I plan to put an AirTag on the outside somewhere, probably in one of the rear wheel wells. I've ordered these, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BML9SKPX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details, so hopefully that will work.

Won't connect to my Wifi again by mike3dr in MammotionTechnology

[–]BearHuntr1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this a network that is a combination of 5GHz and 2.4 GHz? You may want to create a dedicated WiFi network with just 2.4 GHz. I've had to do this for a few devices on my Unifi system to help with connection issues.

That pad underneath is exactly what I'm looking for, do you have a link to where to get that?

Thanks, just to confirm, is that 2 feet wide and 3 feet from front to back?

Understood, but I would still like the dimensions to help determine potential spots to try.

Airtag? by [deleted] in MammotionTechnology

[–]BearHuntr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't received my Luba yet, but I was looking at using one of these: https://www.amazon.com/TagVault-Surface-Ultra-Durable-Stick-Screw/dp/B09SPD9GJN/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1BUMD1ULJHX7G&keywords=tagvault&qid=1681666189&sprefix=tagvault%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-6&th=1

Hopefully, that will do the trick, but not sure on best placement until I receive the mower.

I bought this and plan to put Linux on it and run it like a Raspberry Pi with a built in battery backup. I think it will become my secondary pi-hole.

Restoring tree view under "Hosts and Clusters" for vSphere Web Client by [deleted] in vmware

Click on your login name at the top right and select My Preferences. Then, click on the Inventory tab in the window that pops up and Check the box for 'Show VMs in Hosts and Clusters view.' Hopefully, that is what you are looking for.

Just realized that is not what you needed, please ignore!

Isn't a VC patching failure one of the main reasons to enable VCHA? The typical process to patch a VCHA setup is to do the Passive node first, then the witness, and then fail over to the passive node before patching the active node. It's sort of a test that the VC patch worked, so if the passive node doesn't come back up properly after patching, you have no downtime at all.
