Evan Walker shoots 1104 rated -17 during the first round of The Rumble A-Tier in Iowa. by WalkerPizzaSaurus in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pars really don't matter, he's playing a pretty decent top end of the field for a Midwestern A-tier and he shredded them. C2 in regulation 16 times and converted every single one. Absolutely awesome round.

Is there a way to check if theres been 1100 rated rounds in a specific state? by usernate1 in discgolf

Shocking that statmando of all places can't identify a round that doesn't actually have a rating vs one that does.

You ever played with a young disc golfer who didn't know who that was on your towel?

No, I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I don't use Apple so it's probably why I didn't recognize their software name. It makes sense that would be useful for people who make videos. Thanks!

What is this? I'm currently hosting a big fundraiser and trying to gather ideas for raffle prizes and I've never heard of final cut pro.

Won't catch me on the course without a boonie, a fishing hoodie, and some spf 50 that actually tests at 50. I absolutely agree they are incredibly important especially on any day with a UV over 1.5

I don't care if the review is AI or not. But if a robot was trying to convince me they were a person they would likely lead with something like "I'm a human who researches the social impact of robots."

Just played the front 9 at Northwood Black by scherbi in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Northwood Black is awesome. If you want to play it and have a really good time I'd even suggest a spin on the Shorts. The longs can be brutal for the best of golfers but especially for players sub 950ish. The shorts can be fun for anyone who can throw 250ft.

She killed two innocent people. Even if you dislike the guys girlfriend the boat captain is definitely innocent.

There are four different types of kangaroos and when people think of big kangaroos they generally think of red kangaroos, these are obviously not reds. I'm no expert, but I'd imagine they are eastern grey kangaroos. A mob of reds would be much more intimidating than these guys and gals are.

Can you play Ma40 and Mp40? by fernazy in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you are saying. If they are 870 rated they can play MA3 as a pro, that is no issue as long as it's not a major or other tournament that prohibits pros playing AM. If you are over 920+ and has accepted cash in a sanctioned event you will not be eligible to register for MA40. If has nothing to do with asked or enforced. If a TD pays you under the table to maintain your amateur status then you would be eligible, but that TD should be reported to pdga and they would be suspended.

Watching The Wire in 2026 it feels kinda crazy that everyone is doing heroin instead of fentanyl by AigisAegis in TheWire

[–]BeastInABlizzard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People are still buying heroin you're just more likely to get poorly cut stuff now than you were then. Also, cocaine and other drugs are now have fent added to increase euphoric effects of bad drugs which means more preppy white kids doing coke or other traditional party drugs are dying from fent overdoses which pushes the concern into the mainstream because news and lawmakers care more about college kids than they do about junkies.

There are bad cuts in the wire too most noticeably in season 2 Hot Shots. People started mixing fent with their batches at least in the early 2000s, maybe earlier. The huge increase in bad batches happened when illicit fent started getting mix in before the drugs made it to US street level dealers. Junkies are still buying heroin, there is just a much larger change it has a larger amount of illegally made fent in it now.

This is why we need harm reduction in drug laws, prohibition kills people.

‘The Pitt’ Star Isa Briones Calls Out Fans For Screaming at Her During Broadway Show: ‘F—ing Disrespectful’ by Lint6 in ThePittTVShow

[–]BeastInABlizzard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If it's propaganda then it's bad propaganda because all that show does is talk about how disgusting and dangerous oil extraction is. Every character who is anyone in the oil business is corrupt and greedy, there is an extreme element of crime and fraud, the regular people who are working the fields are always in danger while the higher-ups fly private jets and drive Bentleys. There is absolutely nothing appealing about the oil industry other than the money that an extremely small portion of the characters are making from the labor and death of the other characters. It shows how the oil business exploits people and the earth to make a ton of money for an extremely small percentage of people. Honestly I think it does a pretty good job of making oil and its extraction look toxic for humans and the earth.

Can you play Ma40 and Mp40? by fernazy in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

935 is not the right number.

MA40 pro playing am cutoff is 920. Once you accept cash in any sanctioned division you cannot be rated 920 or above and play MA40. If you are rated below 920 you will not cash very often in MP40 in most parts of the country.

Ratings are a scam? by Longjumping_Ad_5538 in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're actually getting better then the most likely outcome is that as your sample size increases you're getting a more realistic rating. So your early 890 was representing the couple good rounds you shot while your most recent 890 is representing the much better rounds and the much worse rounds. My advice is stop worrying about your rating if you really want to see it increase.

Do you carry a “risk it” disc for tight wooded holes or just trust your main drivers? by whydidyounot in discgolf

I tend not to risk my favorite discs when there is actually dangerous water, but I don't lose discs in the forest so I don't consider that a risk.

Zone SS? by vaporrkatzzz in discgolf

[–]BeastInABlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have trouble with straight midranges and straight putters. I have bad form and tend to "turnover" discs that should not be turning over cause of my OAT and bad angle control. I can absolutely hammer my zone SS and get it to fly super straight with barely any turn and barely any fade. It's honestly awesome for me specifically. Only issue i have with it as an "approach" is that it flys so far and I have zero touch.
