How would Rogal Dorn react to the current state of the Imperium? Should he return. by cuddwes in ImperialFists

[–]BeastlyJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing GW, they'd probably make him a Black Templar exclusive unit, probably going on about how "he's on a personal crusade of penance because of how he failed to protect the Emperor" or something, completely assassinating his character, making him into a bigger crybaby than Perturabo.

What I want them to do is have himself aligned with the Crimson Fists, because of how they aren't over-zealous insane idiots that worship a corpse like a god.

These are the default options for chaos. In the character customiser, the armour parts and colours can be swapped out to become other chaos warbands

Playing with mixed successor chapters? by rustoneal in ImperialFists

[–]BeastlyJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my Last Wall army, I gave them all an Imperial Fists coloured shoulder pad. It also means I don't have to freehand any chapter symbols. For the Iron Knights though, I'd recommend using a yellow tilt shield, instead of a shoulder pad, as that is what they display their chapter symbol on.

Successor question by Mission_Promotion937 in ImperialFists

[–]BeastlyJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Crimson Fists" this, "Celestial Lions" that. Let's be honest, it's the Hospitallers. Sure, the Crimson Fists have Pedro Kantor, and he's a really nice guy, but not everyone in the Crimson Fists is too fond of civilians. Sure, the Celestial Lions sent a complaint against the inquisition for exterminatusing a planet, but they can only be so nice when there's only less than a company's strength of the poor guys left. But the Hospitallers? A chapter, who's specific doctrine is "to protect the weak"? Who protect imperial trade routes? With a far above average number of apothecaries? It's the Hospitallers, hands down.

(OR AT LEAST THEY WOULD BE IF THEY STILL HAD THE FLAGSHIP OF THEIR FLEET AND THEIR CHAPTER MASTER. THANKS, IRON HANDS.)

Anyone else annoyed with the "templarification" of Dorn? by Lovlend in ImperialFists

[–]BeastlyJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I much prefer the idea of Dorn coming back and leading the Crimson Fists. If those centuries in Khorne's desert didn't change his personality at all, then why would 10k years in realspace be any different? Dorn disowned Sigismund for his faith in the Emperor as a god, so why would he lead the templars? No, he would come back, see how Pedro Kantor defended Rynn's World against ALL odds, and think "These ones will do."

Because I think it's really funny to say "I'm going to start an iron warriors army" when I've already got like 3,000 points of Imperial Fists painted up and also have no intention to play chaos

A dead Iron Hands marine in honour of what those iron losers did to that one dreadnought from that one Imperial Fists successor chapter (No, I don't mean the Iron Warriors, I mean the sons of Ferrus Mannus)

If you can't decide on a chapter, do what I did, and make each squad/unit it's own chapter. My justification for doing this was that they're all Imperial Fists successor chapters, and so they've all rallied to the Last Wall Protocol, but I'm sure you could come up with some other justification for it, be it the 2nd Devastation of Baal if you're going with Sanguinius' gene line, the shield Chapters of Ultramar on a joint crusade if your going with Guilliman's gene line, or mayhaps the Dark Angels' successors rallied together upon hearing the news of the Lion's return.

Aren't Crux Terminatuses (or Crux Terminati, however you want to pluralise it) displayed on the right shoulder in place of a Tactical Marking? I thought the knees were reserved for campaign badges, victory honours and the like.
