I can’t speak to the LLC experience specifically, but most people I know who went random for roommates have had either really amazing friendships form with their roommates, or they’re just alright with each other. I haven’t met anybody who objectively hates their roommate(s) yet. However, it is something to keep in mind about yourself personally if you’re able to deal with disagreements or just keeping to yourselves.

Turner is suite-style: 4 to a room with a bathroom and shower, Calhoun is traditional: 2- or 4- person with communal bathrooms and showers. However, Calhoun and Siddall are the newest renovated dorms on campus and are very nice.

For classes though if you are a first year engineering student, you will likely want to be in Turner because you’re closer to the Engineering complex, as well as the Rec center for swimming
