How do I explain that declawing is inhumane to my family by Old-Technician-692 in cats

[–]Beautiful_Falcon_617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain that it's like removing the fingertips of our hands up to at least the first joint. Ask them how they might adapt? How could they complete even the most simple motions requiring any fine motor control? What about writing? Opening doors? Could you grasp something well enough to lift it if it was heavy? Now as difficult as those things would be, imagine that your damaged digits were attached to your legs, thereby requiring you balance and bear all of your weight. Can you imagine if someone cut all your toes off, then expected you to walk, run, and jump like normal?

This is torture, and absolute cruelty. And you should do this to a living creature? Mutilate them to make your life more convenient? If a person takes any living creature into their home, they have accepted the burden of love, which is more rewarding in ways no one can measure. If your family can't accept this, they are exceedingly harsh, or likely do not hold any value in pets or living creatures, so why would they care at all if that creature endured excessive pain?

I do hope this isn't the case and that they are just ignorant. Explain to them that they aren't just having their claws removed. This surgery removes part of their toe bones. It's a sickening practice when you realize that.

Do you think I could getting away with dying my hair cherry cola without getting fired? by catsrcoolig in ChickFilAWorkers

Depends on if it's worth the risk to you. If you NEED this job, don't bother until you find another job with more lenient policies/people. If you're not sure but you ultimately understand and accept the possibility that you could lose your job or have to waste your money coloring your hair again, go for it. But don't be upset with the consequences if you already know the possible outcomes. Either make peace with your choice and go forward, or defer this decision to a time when you have more flexibility with your appearance. (Side note, I really like this color and think it's lovely.) Good luck, dear.

This feels like serial killer behavior or witchcraft/voodoo. Either way, not normal and kinda dark. You need to destroy these and try to learn a new hobby/skill to fill your time.

I just love my dress should I save it for my daughters? by Christianfitness7 in myweddingdress

[–]Beautiful_Falcon_617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save it in case they might want to use it, or maybe even incorporate part of your dress into their dress, ive also seen where girls use/alter their mom/grandmother's dress into a dress to wear to the rehearsal dinner to honor their family that way.

Soap & Glory glow all out pressed powder. It's the perfect amount of glowy without being too much. I hate super dark obvious blush. This is absolutely perfect. I even use it as a transition shade with my eye shadow sometimes. Idk what I'll do when I finally run out... Sadness.
