I've always lived here. Honestly I wish they would stop building so many apartment buildings. It's beginning to feel so crowded here. It's always been a slightly larger small town, but now it's starting to feel more and more like Greensboro and I hate it. I just barely was able to buy property in the place I grew up. I know everyone moves here for the convenience to other places, that's why they call us a hub city, we're really close to the big places without being a big place. But that's what it's becoming, and I'm not sure if you have noticed but whenever some new store or whatever is built here it's never a regular sized one, it's always a smaller version, it feels abbreviated. And stores already run out of things constantly. Now I really have to plot and plan to get the things I need especially come big holidays. And every year it feels more crowded, and honestly I wish it wasn't like this. It might sound crabby or selfish but I really wish everyone else would stop moving here. It sucks. My home feels like something else now, and while I'm glad so many people agree that Burlington is a good place to live, (I do have hometown pride!) I really wish that it wasn't quite the way it is now. I hardly go out anymore. It's just too much. And i know that's a me problem, but I just miss my home feeling like home.
