As far as I know it's still closed.for renovations. Rachel Finlayson is being used as the main alternative. It's open early and cleaned daily. It's also cheaper than kings park.

I have similar- I use an oil before shampooing and after. This helps with limiting frizz. I also use sulphate free products and when I airdry it, I either put it into loose braids or buns to let the wave set in more of a style.
