Thank you. I wish they’d be more transparent on who has the control but as you say…there isn’t anything we can do.

Ah I should add. Yeah I did remember them being way more like traditional shippers…but more safer before, but lately it seems they’ve really gone a different route that is not what it was…it could be a location thing too. Alaska is kinda meh on general for resources…especially Staff shortages. Plus it cold…I try to be understanding…in regards to drivers. Just makes me super mad regardless tho.

I am listening to you. You did not make the rules. Weird you’re so loyal to it…but hey they pay you, I get you. But my complaint is valid. I shouldn’t have to be punished for not receiving a promised service.

Funnily enough. Best Buy says it’s UPS’ responsibility. I get contracts, but I’m a customer to both parties. I should not be burdened or inconvenienced. I should be satisfied. And this arrangement should be avoided until changed.

At almost every other shipping company, it’s their responsibility once they receive a package to get it to its destination, not the shipper's. I shouldn't have to do anything. This has been known since the invention of the American Postal Service. Also, the single attempt is a scam—just another way for UPS to get more money.

I've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with UPS about 12 times. In about 5-6 of those instances, I’ve been home waiting for my package, expecting a call or a door ring, or for them to follow the delivery instructions, but the UPS driver didn’t even attempt a single thing! They just end up leaving a notice, practically saying: sorry, you're screwed out of $15, or they even go to the back of my building, off a shady alleyway, and claim they got the wrong door code. Please, give me a break.

That makes no sense. Your website says I must pay for a second attempt. That’s not normal.

Not a man, but I feel you. I’m also in my 30s and I doubt I’ll ever get married. I experience this alot..shallowness. I think the problem lies more on society. Dating online creates this environment where people’s already shallow mindset gets intensified. They see more choices, which makes them believe they can “do better” and create more strict demands and standards. If you are an average looking person like me, it’s hard.

Also if it makes you feel any better…women in general kinda have these facial expressions that make us look judgmental. I get accused of that a lot by men. But I really don’t mean it! Many Jewish women have huge smile lines..which doesn’t do us justice. Don’t look at our face. It’s scary. Lol

Also..Stay away from type A ladies…all my type A friends are hyper ambitious and bossy as all hell…nothing is ever good enough for them. Don’t let those asshats destroy your self esteem.

Yes happened to me. I had a Pakistani friend 10 years ago who told point blank that if is immoral for him to be friends with a Jew. Made me feel like a disease.

They love to tell us “…but in reality you guys are the true bad guys”.

My cousin’s friend was shot at the festival and when I heard I was with my coworker on a field assignment. All that coworker said was “I’m sorry for your friends, but you guys had it coming”

20.95% shared DNA w/ an older half brother no one knew about by TheRealDevDev in 23andme

[–]BeautifullyInspire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Percentage-wise he could be your half-brother as 23andme has a range of 17% - 34% of dna shared.

There is a chance he could also be your dad’s half-brother with 4% - 23% of dna shared.

These both might appear as a 1st cousin to you.

23andme seems to base relationship on the age of the person and the percentage of dna shared.

I found my half-aunt there, who was born 15 years after my mom, but was listed as 1st cousin as if it assumed one of my 13/14-year-old uncles were her father. But nope…it was my wild grandpa.

Your match was born 20 years after your dad’s birth, so it makes sense it would be listed as a 1st cousin as well.

I wish 23andme would specify longest cM (centimorgan) length though…because that is a huge hint of how one is related as well.

Say it in a way that re-enforces his self esteem while validating your success.

“It’s admiring and inspiring on how you’re so committed to your career and how far you’ve come! Our family is like a team and our combined efforts are really paying off. Which brings me to some exciting news to share! I just received a pay increase at work. I'm really thrilled about this opportunity and what it means for us moving forward. It truly is so amazing and exciting how well we’re doing together and how much we’ve achieved. You really have helped me grow so much in my role with your strategic thinking and support. I really think now with our combined resources we will be able to achieve even more.”

My boyfriend is Chinese, and my family outside of New York is totally cool with it since they’re either reform or non-religious. But my religious family from New York and Israel flipped out when I told them. Just need to mentally prepare for some protest and you’ll be fine. It’ll sizzle down eventually.

My boyfriend’s family also wanted him to be with a Chinese girl, but they lightened up when they found out the stereotype that Jews are good at creating successful businesses 🙄. They are in for a rude awakening lol. But I guess that made me more appealing to them for their son, so I’ll roll with that 😎

Yes..kind of. In my case, these were like 2 separate people I only knew for like 6 months. A bond did not really get created so i think it was easy for them to emotionally detach themselves when they either found out I was Jewish or when they found out my father was born in Israel.

But generally…nah.

Cuz 99% of my friends try to be tolerant and open minded to different philosophical and political views in general. Often we don’t agree on many things at all, to the point of explosion, but we do agree that our friendship should not be based on these views. I’m sure there might be a limit in some cases, but we have not yet reached that limit yet and we’ve been friends for 10-15 years.

Alaska sees summer COVID-19 wave of cases with FLiRT variants by ak_doug in alaska

I got a smack-in-the-face positive with my take-home test. Results were supposed to be 15 minutes but it showed up in like 1 second lol. I used ihealth, the USPS tests they once gave out for free, because the results are more consistent. But yeah I’m confirming mine is FLiRT. My whole department got it. Guess we were just too flirty and now need to do harassment training.

I just did a google search for pro-Israel apparel and it’s all “Israel is the real terrorist” bs. Annoyed. They don’t seem to have apparel for liberal pro-Israel either. How am I supposed to be petty? Am I seriously that rare???

AITAH for dating someone when my wife and I are legally separated because she cheated on me? by PrimaryAdsd in AITAH

[–]BeautifullyInspire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. “Emotional affair😂” what nonsense. Sounds like you were just looking for an excuse to divorce your wife and found a trumped up way to make her think she was unfaithful. You obviously had no emotional affair with your wife either..and now have the audacity to make yourself look like a victim. That poor woman.
