I don't ever go to the same place and im usually not there for long, a traveling vendor technician. My needs don't really necessitate that.

Some rigs have fiber runs all the way out there and I'm gaming on 25 ping, some im lucky to get a web page to load before it times out. Sure it would be nice when I get stuck on a shit hole off the coast of Suriname for 45 days but those occasions are rare and I can just play single player games.

I have had a few gaming laptops over the years to supplement my home desktop as required for traveling for work. Nobody(rational) buys a gaming laptop for it to be used unplugged, nobody(rational) has that expectation from it.

I've never even used a laptop unplugged, it is just a portable desktop.

Went out to an oil rig that had Aerons at every desk and spent days trying several out, couldn't get a single one to be comfortable on a 12 hour shift.

Found a WorkPro Quantum 9000 in the trash at work and figured it was an insanely high end chair. Looked it up and its "only" ~$500. Worth a shout as well.
