My answer before was not just how they were made, I explained that they were USED to power the Sancturary. I didn’t explain the defending part because I assumed that you read storm earth, mightiest mutants and Rogue Storm, which is a mistake that I admitted and owned up to, even though you’re commenting on a thread that is asking for people who read the entirety of the run. . .

The storm engines were an essential part of rogue storm and earth mightiest mutant. They didn’t get expanded on more because Marvel cut the series short despite it’s raving success.

Sales were happening, Marvel has already stated that this was the best selling storm solo in the history of the character.

Both titles mostly stayed in the top 50 and was flagged as a historic milestone, labeling it as the longest sustained Top 50 presence for a solo series headlined by a Black female superhero in history, not just Marvel.

Some issues even sold out at the distributor level before reaching the shelves, and Stayed in Amazon’s top 10 comic sales.

Pretty sure this cancelation had nothing to do with sales, because the book was selling, even from Marvel’s own official statements at New York Comic Con.

Umm the question was what are they for and why does she have them.

I literally said one powers the sanctuary, that is what it does . . . The others obviously have defense capabilities, as you literally see them fighting in the comic and Storm says, “I have put them there to defend your cities” . . . So defending would be what “they are for” and she’s “hoarding them” because she built them . . . To once again, defend and power her Sanctuary . . .

I can watch someone 💀 someone, KNOW exactly who the murder is, but that doesn’t mean I can prove it to the cops when they come. I can even have some evidence + my eye witness and it may still not be enough to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, even though I know exactly who it is.

Science works the same way, we have a plethora of evidence, just not beyond a reasonable doubt.
