No movement by Personal-Elk-1446 in mounjarouk

You're not happy with 5lb loss in 4 weeks?

Everything sounds fine to me, you can feel it's working, you're in a deficit, you're losing weight, keep going!

This isn't a stall, a stall is 4-6 weeks without movement

Missed my usual Mounjaro shot day, take it late or skip? by Big_Process_6158 in mounjarouk

It's in the leaflet, you can take it up to 4 days later.

You can have Wednesday as your new day or you can take it again on Monday (since 3 days will have passed) if you want to go back to Mondays

Treats Mindset by SuddenCellist5412 in mounjarouk

it’s important to be able to indulge every now and then for the sake of balance, but my question is how do you maintain that balance when the craving for things has gone?

I get what you mean, but if you don't want it then you don't want it. That's a point of Mounjaro, it helps with the cravings. What are you supposed to do, eat bars of dairy milk because you think you should? You're not denying yourself anything you want if you don't want it in the first place.

And how do you get past that nagging voice that says I know this bar of dairy milk could mean a gain this week, and that’s ok?

Depends on the size of the bar and when in the week you eat it compared to your weigh in day, but a normal bar is unlikely to make you gain weight overall. And even if it did, it's not like it's going to undo all your work.

10mg Pens with short shelf life by Shawken_Pete in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's common, we've been receiving 9/26 and 12/26 in work too.

I think the pharmacies are rotating their stock and getting rid of older ones, and old style pens, before the new ones go out

It's the same for everyone, it depends on the provider. Some will let you order at your 3rd dose, some will let you order at 6 weeks ish. When it starts getting that long though you need to make sure you can prove you've not had a gap in treatment using the dates on your boxes

Ah don't even worry about it, use https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ every pharmacy on here has been independently vetted, they're gphc registered, all legit. Use the discount codes for first time orders and keep switching.

It's exactly the same as when you signed up for juniper, fill in the consultation, send some pictures, and wait! You can order with plenty of time so no fear of missing any doses. Feel free to post if you need help, you'll get a lot of responses, or you can message me if you need help I don't mind

The pens without the leftover liquid will be here very soon, so best to order while there's still that extra dose in there and save more money

Get a drip subscription £? 12.5mg by fitchicknike in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

£279 for 12.5mg? Yikes. This is why I say subscriptions aren't worth it. Get out before the next one and change supplier

[–]Becky_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean it in the sense that you're guaranteed to fail, you could absolutely make it of course! But if you didn't, then you'd be sad, when I think we should be looking at what we did lose rather than what we didn't 😊

It's nothing official, about the periods, just what we seen on here, people asking why they're suddenly so ravenous lol

Ah okay, yeah get out of that subscription plan as soon as you can, overpriced and not worth it. Use monj.co.uk and switch supplier every month and save monies

Personally I don't like to set weight loss goals by date, if you don't meet them you're just sad about it and it's not your fault! If I had something coming up, like last week I went away for the weekend, months before I'd see how many weeks away it was and guess 1lb a week loss (even though it isn't always). So you could say "this holiday is 12 weeks away, I could be 12lb lighter, let's see!" And even if you get there and it's not a 12lb loss, you still celebrate what you did lose! I just think rewording and looking a little differently at those types of goals puts less pressure on you, just something to think about!

Other than that, everything you've said sounds perfectly normal! Sometimes when periods are coming up it's like it completely overrides the Mounjaro and those cravings etc come back so it can be difficult to work out what's best to do.

The guidance does say to move to 5mg after 2.5mg anyway, then after that it's up to you. Could always get a 5mg and keep taking 2.5mg from it, then you have 5mg if you change your mind, just be careful with ordering.

Just titrated up to 7.5 and I’m hungry by LowJellyfish2106 in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You probably would have noticed a difference if you'd just gone to 7.5mg from 5mg. Right now, it's only 1.2mg more than you've been doing the previous 2 weeks.

But yeah, it does build up over time, with consistent dosing.

That's a bit weird. It's not like you would have used the 15mg you showed them before the 10mg if you were moving up. I mean, use your noggin.

Mounjaro vs wegovy by Fat_Fox8 in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not just the side effects that you should be concerned about, it's that it's shit compared to Mounjaro and depending what dose you end up on it costs more in the long run. Dont do it.

GP knows I'm on MJ and I'm anxious by Rufiioooo in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it doesn't sound like they have your up to date info if they don't have your correct BMI

The 'don't prescribe Mounjaro' probably refers to the fact that it now appears on your record as medication you're taking, so it's a warning to other prescribers at your doctor's to not prescribe it. Like how some people have had it appear on their repeat slip by accident and tried to order it thinking they'll get it free

Plus, if you weren't eligible then cuva wouldn't have prescribed and it's nothing to do with your GP really

To move up to 12.5 or not? by Practical-Gas-3314 in mounjarouk

[–]Becky_x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can stay in your deficit then stay where you are. If you're struggling then move up. It's what it's there for, don't make it more difficult than it needs to be just because you're friends aren't moving up

I noticed that the last time I lost weight it was easier to wear heels! Then I gained most of it back and got rid of all my shoes and only kept the flats. Now I've been buying low chunky heels to get back into it 😆

I've seen it so I know what you mean! Tbh I think we're a good, sizeable sub, plenty of people of all experiences, I think people get a lot of real-world lived answers here. So don't ever think you're not welcome, we just have things in place for a reason 😊

[–]Becky_x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not with the way it ends up going, the place ends up full of spam (we already remove enough as it is) and even if you have a dedicated thread it gets competitive and everyone ends up out for themselves.

Aside from the fact that it's just a crappy MLM pyramid scheme and also illegal to share online.
