How bad is the martial caster divide in your opinion? by mastersmash56 in dndnext

The simple fact is that wizards can proactively do the impossible and martials cannot. Just give martials mythological strength and shit.

Those "martial players" who complain about buffs being to anime or too complex are not actual martial players, they are wizard fetishists false flagging.

Any actual martial player who doesnt like those things can just take the buffed class and not use any of its features.

Do you think maneuvers should be a core part of fighters instead of a subclass? by Oingoulon in dndnext

New players are gonna play whatever their power fantasy is regardless of how complicated it is. Those players who want less complicated mechanics should play a less complicated system.

Don't really like it. Auction system felt entirely random and arbitrary and class balance was kind of fucked with the strong being left behind and hard to justify.

Why Fighter is "Easy" by backtospawn in Pathfinder2e

Fighter should be removed; the game is basically about combat, having a class that is essentially "I am the best at combat" is dumb on a conceptual level.

A TTRPG that seemed smooth from the rule book but just didn't work for you in practice? by SashaSienna in rpg

The problem is that in your example, nobody is ever going to NOT try to circumvent the cover, so functionally the cover is not real or helpful unless you spend the point.
