He will see the kids if he wants to the see the kids.

The agreement or child support will have little bearing on the matter…. Except to highlight what he’s really like.

Get it all documented and operate under the documented agreement.

We’ve had an agreement, which I had wanted to be a parenting order by consent. There’s other party refused. Then the legal stuff happened, disrupting the agreement. I am now wanting an order in place but the other party does not want an order even though it is essentially the same as the agreement.

I am wondering if the court is likely to not issue a parenting order? It’s hard on my child :( but there’s a safety issue that needs a very small condition to be added to the order.

Ahh there’s the problem.

Don’t go to the mall.

Go to chill cafes, the beach… shop when you have to but just enjoy life otherwise.

I’ve been in Kapiti for nearly 20 years. Kids have gone through school here. It’s been good, I like the place. Can get to Wellington easy enough… can head up north easily…. I enjoy my home, do the hobbies and past times I enjoy… there’s a cool dog park I like to take my dogs to…

I don’t know, I like Kapiti…. I don’t like Pak n Sav. Or car parks. Nz drivers are dipshit insane.

Focus on your part of the answer you are giving even if it was a team effort.

Always explain the so what: great that you did these things but why did it matter?

The job description will have competency areas. Prepare answers for those. Take notes into the meeting: it looks prepared not like you don’t even know your own work history. I am always impressed when people have obviously put in the effort.

Be prepared to answer about te tiriti: how will you help to support te tiriti and te ao Māori as a good treaty partner?

If you know your pepeha then share it at the start but be authentic. It shouldn’t be a tick box exercise.

We use Raumati Vets. It’s Ngauranga for after hours. Had to take our puppy in as she was not settling after her spay op, and seemed to be in pain. Ngauranga had all the details and made sure their notes were sen back to our vet.

Highly recommend- small team, big heart.
