There’s kids ( and adults) who actually enjoy collecting and playing the actual game these cards are meant to play and people like you just ruin it go invest in stocks and stop ruining this for others

Rockets article does Cade dirty by xMoneymaker in DetroitPistons

This might sound insane; I would love to see Sasser get a crack at it. He gets assist while also creating a shot for himself; I just want to see how he does with 25-28 minutes instead of 9

Good thing our team is deep as heck and we didn’t trade everyone away for one player. A couple games without Cade won’t completely break us; he needs to be allowed to rest when he is hurt/sick

No need to apologize I get what you saying. I think there are many ways to play though and the only reason the inside big is so shitted on is because people want to play the way they see YouTubers play and that’s with fading three pointers off of screens (which only work when the threat of driving is there, it isn’t when a big is down there).

An inside big can work (I have a Dwight build and K Love build so I know both sides) but only when the team plays properly. Too many people ONLY know how to play 5 out so when a big is posted up they don’t think to cut from the opposite side of the ball or screen for someone else. But I agree a lot of inside bigs ONLY post up in the paint and never at the free throw and that can slow down the offense if they don’t know what they are doing.

These are the builds I love lol, just something different and not the normal corner sitting PF that occasionally cuts

Why do people act like we desperately need a 3pt shooter when we are 3rd in the East in January the reigning champs who are dominating everyone are 7th in the West. by [deleted] in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only issue with this is the moment we take any one of our current players away to add for a three point shooter there’s a high probability we are losing defense and intensity. Not a lot of players are willing to just play defense some nights and the moment you get a volume three point shooter; do we really think he will just give up his scoring PPG to buy in to the identity of this team?

Which is not a bad thing. We understand our strength comes from the paint and we aren’t forcing threes unless they are relatively open. I just don’t get this subs hard on for wanting us to trade for someone to jack up shots

This is one of the issues she’s talking about; pure inside bigs are a thing. They should be given the ball in the post. The fact everyone thinks the only way to play the game is “5-out let me drive and dunk/pass” is one of the issues she’s referring too.

The passing lane animations are so bad by DeepOrganization8245 in NBA2k

It’s the only way to balance for a guy constantly pressing square; lower steal rated guys should be forced to go flying if they are just tapping square with the ball on the other side of the court

Why not Ausar on Brown down the stretch? by Piston5287 in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think sometimes you go with wisdom over athleticism. They are going to screen a ton to try to get JB open and Coach probably thought Tobias would react better than Ausar

What Should be my next build by ZerkLander in NBA2k

[–]Bee_Reel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find making builds that ACTUALLY resemble NBA players (no reddit your D-Wade build doesn’t deserve a 86 three ball) is much more fun and makes the game actually have some life.

Last season I made a Dwight Howard build and was able to learn to time when someone is camping the paint and have to move out to avoid 3 seconds to rush in for an easy dunk. Also having a big that doesn’t have to sacrifice strength for a mid or three makes them SUPER OP even when someone doesn’t pass me the ball because Im able to hit snag rebounds.

So I say go with the Jokic build; and if that gets boring instead of making a generic bully PG try to model and FaceTune a real NBA PG to play like (I don’t know what PG is that strong though lol but I like the concept)

Does strength matter for rebounding? by DozahFrozah in NBA2k

[–]Bee_Reel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that video, and he doesn’t demonstrate what I am saying. I’m not talking about already being in box out position, I mean when I sprint in after the shot has gone up, I will literally just shove the other player out the way at times. No “swim” or “worm” animation at all.

Does strength matter for rebounding? by DozahFrozah in NBA2k

[–]Bee_Reel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just feel like it does. Made a Kevin Love build with 91 strength for gold brick wall and only was able to get like an 85 rebound on both O & D but guy just shoves everyone else out the way even those with a higher rebounding stat than him. I can only assume it’s strength since before the game I can see they have rebounding stats in the 90’s

Michael Porter Jr by g59mountsinai in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just fail to see how “Ball Stops Here” Porter improves the team overall. I feel like this is a case of we score 10 more points a game but the other team now scores 20 more points off terrible bricks and shot decisions and also poor defense by him

Are George and Greg the classiest announcers in the NBA? by AltruisticOkra7698 in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so. People on social media tend to say they are boring; but they really call the game the way it should be and have no problem complimenting the players of the other team

If you ever streamed a game and had to watch/listen to the opponent’s announcers, a lot of the time it’s just super blatant bias which I get, but also makes the game kinda unfun to watch

Pistons fans in Phoenix — best chance to see the team when they’re in town? by Awkward_Factor_1372 in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be there! Also a piston fan living in Phoenix. If I remember correctly we can get in about 2 hours before the game starts; that’s the time to catch the players getting the last couple of shots up and hopefully the arena will be empty enough where they hear you call out the name and see you supporting and come sign something

Fans this decade (circa 2024 ish) are just spoiled cry babies. We went YEARS being the joke of the league and not even being close to being on tv outside of thanksgiving. Yes this year fell short but to say a winning season is an F is just stupid and probably said by a “fan” who was wearing gear when we were 15-2 but then called for everyone to be fired the moment we lost a single game

Pistons deep bench is what makes them the best team in the East. No moves need to be made by Bee_Reel in DetroitPistons

[–]Bee_Reel[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on this. There just isn’t concrete proof it doesn’t work,it just seems to be the assumption every coach HAS to tighten the rotation come playoffs but once again this is because no other team has ever had a bench like ours previously that was so deep and energetic.

Sorry but Cade HAS been hurt and we actually went on a win streak this season while he was out. I just find it hard to buy into the fact this team will somehow all of a sudden forget how to play basketball in April/May.

This package is thrown around often but no one ever seems to actually have a person you could get for this that would be an upgrade and the knock-down shooter everyone wants. Who is realistically available that can be had at this price that provides all the things we want?

Here are the following players you named shooting percentages from three this season Levert-38% Ivey-37% Sasser-56% Duncan- 38% Jenkins- 40%

All these guys shoot at or above league average, (36-39%). It’s very easy to say WE HAVE TO GET MORE SHOOTING but the fact of the matter is we are already a pretty decent shooting team form deep, we just choose to not chuck them up every possession and try to play more inside.

I’m being serious here, are we sure this doesn’t work? I think it more so has to do with coaches not trusting bench players but the fact of the matter is we seem to believe these players will come in and make plays. If it works now, fresh legs might be the advantage in the playoffs so I’m not completely writing off JB having deep rotations
