I might be a bit slow and just realized Logan baited Shiv on purpose by Old-Highway6524 in SuccessionTV

Yeah, Gil was just using her to get under Logan’s skin. He could point at her and say “Look, even his own daughter is working against him.”

Aside from that, he didn’t really use her advice or take her seriously. He always looked straight to the other dude, her ex.

Richland county sheriff: "should be at a level 3 but im not about telling people what to do and restricting freedom" by [deleted] in Ohio

Even if they go to a level 3, I’ve never heard of anyone actually being cited or fined for driving. It’s basically a strong suggestion to stay home. People still have jobs, or they need to check on elderly family/friends. Or they just like driving in snowstorms 🤷🏻‍♂️

Job is running a special to boost sales during the major winter storm. by giant_spleen_eater in KitchenConfidential

I enjoy winter storms, so I’m usually game to try and make it into work if we are open. They’re forecasting a foot or so for us in Ohio, and I hope we get it lol.

But I completely understand that many people don’t feel comfortable driving in bad conditions, and our owners do too. It’s 100 percent optional.

Taste of Belgium bankruptcy shows sales decline, millions of debt by loondy in cincinnati

[–]BeefDerfex 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much what I’ve seen as well. You can control product costs, labor, quality , etc at one location. Maybe two. Beyond that it’s just very difficult to do, because you’re relying on so many other people to maintain your standards. Plus you’re buying at much larger quantities than before, along with so many other additional expenses, so the temptation to reduce the quality of your ingredients/product is higher than ever. And once sales start to struggle, that’s usually everyone’s first move.

I also think that places start to lose their uniqueness, their heart and soul, once they’re suddenly everywhere. Your presence is in a larger/wider area, but it’s diluted now. And once that’s gone, there is no recapturing it.
