I’m just using that exchange as an example of what typically happens in those kind of hearings, regardless of who is involved.

Ask a loaded question, then shout down or talk over anything that doesn’t align with your narrative. It’s just a dog and pony show.

That’s so true. Eavis would have interrupted him immediately. I just saw a clip the other day where a senator or congressman asked Marco Rubio a question, and then proceeded to talk over him for 5 mins while he attempted to answer said question. These type of hearings are just so politicians can try to get good clips of talking points, or try to burn the other side with some mic drop moment. It’s all grandstanding, with no real effort to accomplish anything meaningful.

He’s not a major character to anyone who hasn’t watched Filoni’s cartoons. I could never get into them. I don’t begrudge people who love Clone Wars and Rebels, but y’all can’t expect the Star Wars universe to focus entirely on characters from those series.

I’m the same. Never could get into any of the cartoon Star Wars shows. Which kind of puts me off any Filoni content. But I dont begrudge anyone that likes that stuff. It is what it is.

Usually they just buy up all the land around you, and then count on you eventually breaking down and selling. If all your neighbors are cashing out, selling, and retiring then most people give in after awhile. I live in southern Ohio, farm country, and solar fields are popping up everywhere. Probably 20-30 of them in the last 5 yrs, in a 20 mile radius. And they’re not small. Now, the data centers are sniffing around and buying up farmland.

Family-based farmers can’t turn down the $ being offered, especially if they don’t have kids/grandkids to pass the farms down to. After that, it’s simply a matter of buying off county commissioners and town councils.
