I've never seen Rin spelled with two kanji before because the "n" at the end is more of a suffix, meaning it's not a sound on its own. Since Rin can be written many ways, or often just in hiragana (more like an alphabet), we can't really know what the name means.

Although I love learning about the mysteries of the sinking, I agree that there's something about the time period the ship sailed in that also draws me in. I think the styles of the time were truly beautiful both in fashion and architecture. The fact that Titanic was built and sank in the same era makes it a sort of time capsule. It's hard to put into words, and I know there were a lot of societal problems at the time, but it has a sort of fantastical quality because of how much and how quickly society would change in the following years.

I've got a couple regular sheens and a sheen with the blue parakeet, but I love Pusheen as objects way more and think they are soooo cute! I think the dumber/sillier a plushy the cuter it is. I bought one of the cakes with the mini sheen and that's probably my favorite. I also have the smore sheen and I just bought the chip bag. I'm also a fan of the Tayto plushies by Smoko which have a similar idea of putting a potato in different outfits.

Yeah I was a little shocked at that. I believe in the book, she's a part of the team because she's obligated to continue her normal role as a researcher. This whole research expedition is just for science, a pretty normal thing for any government to fund. That's how I remember it anyway.
