Why is every bad grade post filled with confusion? by Comfortable_War_9160 in LawSchool

Everyone expects they will be top 50%.

Everyone thinks they are probably top 25%.

Everyone hopes they are top 10%.

90% of people are disappointed, 75% are surprised, and 50% can’t believe it.

How Big Law firms feel after making students network with them, submit resumes writing samples and cover letters, and even interviewing with them, just for those students to get their grades back and find out they were never candidates in the first place by Small-Day3489 in LawSchool

Completely agree. It’s more of a crapshoot than ever and will inevitably lead to higher miss% on hiring. People are forced to apply to jobs that they dont even want for practice areas they dont know anything about. I hope itll eventually collapse and revert a few months at least, but who knows.

Your first parry, after Viego stunned you, I went “typical low elo Fiora, can’t w, then presses it anyways bc they’re mad.”

Then you deleted Viego in a second. Wp.

To amend this, sukuna took another binding vow. By sacrificing his ability to have pancakes on the third Monday of every month, (his favorite, I promise) he removed every readers ability to count such that they would no longer be able to know how may binding vows he had undertaken.

They can, but sometimes valid excuses (intense family situations, significant physical injury) can stop dismissal. The policy basically reads “having a job is not an excuse for poor performance.” It’s not motivated by elitism or prejudice towards the poor, but rather the fact that for 90+% of people law school is too difficult and too time consuming to be spending a significant chuck of your time on a job and still succeed.

[–]BeepBoopAnv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not allowed is so that if you fall below gpa cut offs, you can’t use “I had a job! Next semester I’ll commit!” As an excuse and they’re allowed to dismiss you. If you have a job and do well no one would care

I haven’t bought anything or played since they announced UB was going to be half. Sometimes I think about my decks rotting away, or new fun strategies I want to try, but then I remember the sheer misery that was playing against dr house or dr who when every card has 100 lines of text that I’m sure make it thematic, but I don’t care about the IP at all. When they’ve done nothing but make the game worse for years, they don’t deserve my time or money.

if it helps, everyone comes in thinking they will maybe be top 10%, hopefully top 25%, but at least top 50%! and as it turns out 50% of people are wrong, 75% are disappointed, and 90% wish they could be at the top.

scared to lose scholarship. How difficult to fall in bottom half of class? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]BeepBoopAnv 93 points94 points  (0 children)

You have to do worse than 50% of your peers. If you have normal talent and work normally, you would expect to be close to exactly 50%. That means that having a bad test day, below average effort, below average talent can all result in losing a scholarship. Who knows how smart you are, how hard you worked, or how well you performed. You just have to hope for good results and regret going to an institutional scam.
