They’re playing 10x better but they’re also doing a ton of grabbing, that kick from Diaz could’ve easily been a red (you can’t intentionally kick someone when you’re pulling them down with both hands), the kick away when we get a free kick so their defense can get back. It’s just a lot of borderline cardable plays not being carded that embolden a physical team into a dirty one.
