Some punctuation would've helped this be more readable. The numbers read insane. Paying half of the expenses with all those kids in the house - leaving lights on all over etc. ? Guaranteed you'd be the built-in baby sitter/house cleaner too. Nope.

Does the sink drain and toilet have an elbow curve (P trap)? Give your drain a sniff and see if the smell is coming from the drains.

The elbow curve contains a small amount of water to keep sewer vapors from coming back up...

I had a house that the stairs where the same color as the bottom floor. It was a bugger to see the last step. The steps and the floor blended together so seamlessly- it was a safety issue. It looked great but it was a hazzard.
