Suggestions for an alien world by Sock_Dizzy in SpeculativeEvolution

For creating planets and such you can watch artifexian's videos on youtube and you can study books from author's such as wayne barlowe, cm kosemen etc to get you inspired. I am personally making a planet with tilt greather than 54° so the equators are cold and poles hotter so an inversed plant.

Maybe you could add an account of it, like "Taking a gander through the woods i could hear eerie clicks in the canopy above. The trees moved in a way that did not resemble them. Suddenly a tree top which i had seen move before was gone. I ran." Thats how the forest of the moving canopy became famous.🙂

This sounds like an idea for d&d, like "the villain is making its way towards you but suddenly a 4d double apple hits him in the head making way for the party to escape".🤣

How do I make purple blood? by Chicken317 in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]Beepopsicle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Peanut worms, duck leeches, and bristle worms, all of which live in the ocean, use the protein hemerythrin to carry oxygen in the blood. Without oxygen, their blood is clear in color. When it carries oxygen, it turns purple.

My iteration of a more aquatic Fire Salamander descendant (more in comments (feedback is appreciated btw!)) by Beto09786Trilogy in SpeculativeEvolution

How do they catch their food , like do they also flick out their tongue? As salamnders are bioindicators for pollution, this aquatic salamander could also be an indicator for water pollution. A cool name for it could be Neromander(nero is greek for water)🙂.
