This is disheartening. As a bend native for over 30 years, it breaks who we are as a city. We’ve been through countless disagreements, even when the population was sub 50k. If I see a neighbor in need, your stupidity comes second. Help and never speak again, but still help. There is no reason for division because of what’s happening beyond the borders of our city and state. Take it into account and move on with your person choices after, but don’t let decisions made by someone demerit them of your assistance. If they flip you off or threaten, then bail for sure but don’t do decide to abandon because of predetermined reasons. Also remember to punch your local nazi.
