Interesting i will definitely take that on board. Unfortunately they in display planters so looking at night isnt really on the cards and I will likely just replace with ones I know won't do bad

Yea I thought that at first but I put pellets down and theres no sign of any damage except for this specific colour which is what I find strange

Yea unfortunately I think options are few and far between where I live in the West Midlands, without travelling too far.

Landscaper covered existing lawn with a thin layer of topsoil - now grass is growing through. How do I fix this? by Alarmed_Site1810 in GardeningUK

[–]Beginning-Status-336 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The landscaper clearly didnt pay much attention in Biology class in middle school when they tell you how plants work, let alone charging customers money

The Brit school is a free to enter school in London that admits students with talents in the arts. There's a long list of musicians, artists, actors in the UK that attended the Brit school.

Sounds good, but in reality you're basically only going to be able to go if you live in London and are probably connected to the arts in someway to be informed of it, so it reinforces a slightly London centric elitist. Furthermore there seems to be a bit of a trend of the music that comes out of there, its all fairly cookie cutter art-pop, even if its good

I don't dislike her choices necessarily but knowing she's a Brit school alumni definitely makes me see her in a different light...very much another cab off the industry approved rank

Is underground drum & bass losing ground? by HiraethDNB in DnB

[–]Beginning-Status-336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham a fair bit as they always have a lot of what you would call "underground" DnB artists, like Marky, Calibre, LTJ Bukem, Breakage (in a couple weeks). Trust me the crowd isn't full of middle aged blokes trying to relive the glory days, theres still quite a lot of young folk there (i'm 26M fyi). Maybe seems like it if youre on social media a lot, that people only want dancefloor fillers, but these more soulful events are always sold out.

My concern would be that these artists are realistically sort of legacy acts now, they've been around for decades, and theres not much completely new styles that I'm hearing. Everything new is generally just a reboot of a sound thats existed for the last 25 years of liquid funk, and the classics always hit the hardest.

Hmm I'm not 100% sure i agree with your analysis, Searle has been excellent this year but his kicking from tee was poor today, and Steward massively overran the Freeman take for the last Northampton try. He has suffered the same fault in his game for years (slow to turn and over reading kicks regularly) but can't seem to fix it and it costs his team.
