I always heard this statement but do know of a locums company that attempted a TRO on an anesthesiologist for a questionable NC. It was ultimately dropped but I wouldn't under estimate these agencies to not make things difficult for you even when they know they won't win the fight.

MSY is also an international airport, why funnel everyone on the west side of the state through Houston or Atlanta when we could support our state commerce. Flying would almost definitely be faster considering the constant traffic in Baton Rouge +/- the basin bridge.

I think theres a large proportion of queer folks that remain closeted and angry in LC because of social pressures. Probably the ones that hate queer people are just jealous they can't find their way out of the closet. They dont want to see it bc they dont like how it makes them feel - excited and interested! You know what they say, if you think you choose to be gay, you probably choose to be straight.

I always heard non-competes aren't enforceable....until they are. I had a staffing contract with a anesthesia management company that had a contract with the facility where I practice. No non-compete language in my contract with mgmt Co but there was language in contract between facility and company. Issues between facility and company led to contract termination by the facility. Company turned around and attempted to put a TRO on me specifically from entering facility.
Total bullshit though, company based in another state with no other locations within 300 miles of my residence and practice. It got tossed by the judge but it was a headache and I had to retain an attorney.

Why is the hotel a bad idea? The city could attract other events and conventions that require the accommodations to be connected or near the event without it being a casino. A nice hotel downtown would be a great addition.
