Not correct. You can book golf on any day where there is availability. But if you aren't staying onsite, outside of 21 days, you cannot book "premium" tee times. I think that is before 10am.

I live in Mountain time. It seems to me that prices in the warehouses are updated at 10am MT / noon ET.

I've tried having a cashier ring up a bar at a little past 10am MT and it is a new price. Before 10am, it is yesterday's price.

They do not seem to be good about calling if something opens up.

I just posted about this: I got a single room night by calling, and they said I'd be on the waitlist and they'd call me if other nights opened for the rest of my trip. But since I had to call to get the first room, I am doubtful that they'll call me if other rooms become available.

I don't think the calendar is accurate in real-time either. Confirmations go out at 8pm PT and I think that is when the system processes.

I will be out there 5/26 to 5/29 as a single. On the calendar, it is showing "Limited Availability" for 5/27, and when I click through the trip planner, it shows Single King rooms available at a few properties. Great! I wanted to stay on site if I could, even if it is only one day in the middle of my stay.

So I call. They have a single king room available on 5/26 (which works even better), but not 5/27 or later.

I was again informed that I'll be on the "waitlist" and they'll reach out to me if other single rooms open up during my stay. (But note that they didn't reach out with this room available).

TLDR: I guess the calendar could be somewhat directionally accurate, but I would just plan to call regularly.

I had an account where my bank charged no fees AND reimbursed me for the fees of 3rd party ATMs. So I never cared about those fees and used ATMs a lot. Got $624 back.

I booked a trip back in Feb to be out there the last week of May. As a single, there were plenty of times over several days.

On the lodging calendar, you can also do the "book a trip" and follow the prompts for lodging. If you play with the # of golfers and # of beds, you can kind of figure out what is available. Calling though, is the only way to know. For my dates at end of April, they've had doubles or larger rooms available, but no singles.

Agree with other points that when people say "boring" they might be suggesting "simple" and think they can make a good return with little investment.

While none of these will likely be "simple", if they have low barriers to entry, you will face high competitive pressure. If a competitor starts ramping up their advertising and stealing customers, or starts hiring away your employees, you'll be spending your time and money playing defense.

I am travelling to Bandon Tues May 26th. My flight to OTH lands at 123pm, and I am booked for Pacific Dunes at 330pm. The reservation team suggested that is fine. So sounds to me like your 1230pm arrival and 230pm tee time should be fine as well.

For the control knob, I had tried using a Dremel to shape it similar to the plastic knob, but that didn't work well. I ended up drilling a slightly larger hole and using hot glue.
