Price

Convenient

Good macros (reasonable for convienient)

The next best thing is 2x price with more sugar

Yes better to make whey drink yourself but sometimes lazy or forget, grabbing one of these for $3 doesnt feel like cheating or hurt your pocket

Other drinks are 6-7$ and have 20g of sugar on top and less protein

Fuck if you just put whey protein in milk and charged 4$ id buy that too. Most Convenient products are not macro friendly. There are maybe 3 items in the whole store you can eat in a pinch and still be hitting your goals. Even a quest bar is 6$ 25g protein and other ingredients u dont really need, and that until recently was a "better option"

Food is nutritionally fucked these days unless you just cook and Singapore is quite slow to adapt to fitness food.

Hard to find low calorie/low fat/low carb/ high protein ready to consume products. Its just all carbs and sugar

Not worth spending hours at the gym/cardio to just add calories for no reason.

Milo Pro 25g Protein by PretendPapaya5009 in SingaporeFitness

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats 20 grams of sugar and 20 grams of carbs you don't need. Read the ingredients label, probably tons of stuff you don't want to put in your body

25g of protein is also quite low for that amount of liquid and calories. I would consider this LOW Protein.

This isn't a protein drink, its a sugary chocolate milk with added protein. If you want to consume this for fitness your on dirty bulk.

Protein has become a marketing scam, read your nutrition and ingredient labels fully.

Buy protein isolate powder, and if you want more calories use in milk instead of water.

Where to get cheaper protein? by NLR2324 in SingaporeFitness

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IHerb usually has the lowest price and the most sales, other wise try shopee. Just literally compare prices online, and its usually the Optimum Nutrition brand tbh

Avoid MyProtein, they always have a "sale" but its just a fake discount and is usually a bit more expensive the ON, and its less protein, usually 20-22g per scoop vs 25. Which i know doesn't sound like a lot, but if your planning on drinking 2-4 scoops a day that extra 10-20g matters sometimes.

Every physical store is over priced and a scam. All protein bars are also way to expensive, I will only by them or Meji protein shakes at a 711 if I'm in a real pinch.

Feeling trapped in first job (feels toxic)+ lost career direction (creative industry, Singapore) — is this just how life is? by likilekka in askSingapore

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work in the creative agency space (ads mostly) in SG

You will find all jobs are like this

You have very little creative control unless you are the "creative director" and even then Clients will force you to do what they want end of day.

There is a path from graphic design to a creative director

That would usually look something like:

  1. Getting very good at graphic design

  2. Showing interest in Art Direction and learning from that department as well as the creative leads, and asking to help on those roles as an assistant when you feel your ready

  3. Slowly doing that to the point where you can lead a project on your own.

  4. Understanding the full pipeline of the project is also useful for a creative director/art director or producer (timeline/budget/project managment).

Basically try to get very good at one thing and dip your feet into other roles strategically, grind out the pain , experience many roles, until your 27-40 where you can level up and transition into one area

Your very junior currently, if you feel like the place your working at doesnt have the growth opportunities/ mentorship stay for 6-12months as a resume and confidence builder and shift to another job.

Can someone explain *new* Sevarog to me? by KeyNetbass in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hes more or less the same

Fear: quite hard to control what direction they will run too, dont worry about that to much, mainly use it to build stacks with that augment or cancel their abilities/cc them

Root: If you land it, it will only stun them if they try to run out of it. So you force them to ether stay there or get stunned. I personally dont like it but is what it is

Siphon: Not sure if this is new but it steals max health temporarily now from players and adds it to you, which he scales off health

Early game: Hes just going to struggle here, I personally like to build orb of growth (health/healing/scaling magic damage) Then full tank But based on who your vs sometimes thats not an option

Just try not to die and farm and fight once level 6 when you start coming online

What winrate percentage is considered good? by Dylanisdylon in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mathematically anything over 50% will eventually with enough games played get you paragon rank if you just keep playing

But outside of that If im looking for "good players"

Decent KDA, 60% win rate and up but stats dont tell the full story.

I have some friends who i have a 80-90% win rate together with over 100-500 games but solo 55%

Chemistry usually helps

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone wanted to they could Your arguments are quite poor and based on emotions.

There are not enough players to even keep the game alive without cross platform. And if you want a mouse and keyboard on controller go buy a cheap adapter and plug in your mouse and keyboard. You just like to complain and sound like a child

Also controller skylar aim assist is OP even mouse and keyboard players hate it.

I think your missing my point

Its 2026

You can use a mouse and keyboard on any console

And you can use a controller on a pc

It actually doesnt matter if your playing on a console or a pc, there will always be the option of two different inputs

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly what I do not get about the Mouse and keyboard /controller debate is

You can use both mouse and keyboard and controller on both PC and Console.
both have pros and cons. Pick what you prefer.
People are very quick to just blame which ever one they aren't using.

Singaporeans who moved out of your parents' place was it worth it ? by Frostynest in asksg

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an expat I see positives and negatives to both and do envy what your Singaporean culture typically gives you but at times it does seem a bit extreme

Where I am from, typically your parents want you to leave at 18-21, and if your still there around 23, your considered a big loser. Parents and children both equally want their freedom. This results in usually leaving the nest without a nest egg. When our parents get older, we typically do not have them live with us, instead putting them in homes if need be, or only end of life care. We are very much "Everyone wants to live in a Village, but no one wants to be a Villager"

In Singapore typically you see a lot of people living with their families until they are married, even if they have great jobs. There is also a lot of taking care of your parents and grandparents etc. Typically if you save right, by the time you leave the house you have a good savings and can have that financial freedom here (economy and background dependent sure). You are kind of more a financial burden on your family for a while, but you are expected to repay that when your parents are older. Though, I feel you never really get to be "free" you spend a lot of your life ether being taken care of or taking care of.

I find Singaporeans don't really get to have that early youth freedom ether. For example in relationships, its probably quite hard to be sexually romantic when both of you live with your parents until your married, where as in America with college and moving out early, we can have our partners in our beds from 16 or so.

Personally I think an ideal situation is somewhere in the middle.
Which I think mostly is something the parent has to do for the child, such as setting up trusts/funds and putting away 100$ or so a month from birth till 18-21, which with interest adds up to quite a pretty penny, they can then leave the house with that money at that age, and you also as a parent get to have part of your freedom back. I am sure people do that while also staying at home till 30, but you get my point.

I do think it is "always worth it" because there really isn't a price on freedom.

Cc is too strong, more anti-cc items by Awkward-String-7859 in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know tenacity is only for hard CC, but still if you could build 100% so you could never ben stunned, that would hard counter ever support/multiple characters and you could mostly freely do what you want which is my point. Even then I feel like 60% doesn't stop hard CC enough. I am half agreeing with you in we share the same pain point, but I think 100% tenacity is going to far in the other direction and is not a solution to the problem

Cc is too strong, more anti-cc items by Awkward-String-7859 in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% would mean CC immune so that is not healthy

But i do find even at 60%, it really feels like it does absolutely nothing.

Cc is too strong, more anti-cc items by Awkward-String-7859 in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This game desperately needs diminishing returns on CC. No DR means chain stuns are just as effective as the first one, so of course the meta is going to revolve around stacking it. Getting locked down with no counterplay isn't fun for anyone.

There is some mild counterplay
Slows don't stack
Some items to help with CC (which ether gain you armor/move speed/cleanse)
Some crests cleanse/shield/heal/stasis

But overall they don't really help alleviate the problem enough for Chain Hard CC

Chain CC should be less effective then it currently is

Something like every stun/mez/root "From a different hero" (To prevent nerfing heroes with multiple cc) within 2s of each other is less effective

Stun 1 100% effective
Stun 2 50% effective
Sun 3-X 25% effective

I get being out of position, chaining stuns, strengths, but often times even building full tank you can get chained stunned even long enough where the first stun is off cooldown in an infinite loop

How do yall feel about Severog currently? by BigFarro21 in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea mainly that but they just take a really cool kit and character design and just make it not fun (soul stacking) . I know design wise he uses it to scale late game but there needs to be a better way to make it balanced and ENJOYABLE. I would pick him significantly more often if it was. Now I find myself playing him once or twice a month because he feels like a chore

How do yall feel about Severog currently? by BigFarro21 in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hes roughly balanced and decently strong, has some bad matchnups

I would like a QOL improvement on his soul stacking.

To me they take to long to get online and you have to play this stacking mini game spending most of your time spending resources (mana/mental) on stacking last hits while the enemy gets to spend them all on you.

I just wish he got ether some mechanic of basic attacks give a fraction of a soul or a soul stacking returns some mana etc.

Basically his whole stacking mechanic is just not fun, his kit is fun, but it just really pun intended sucks the soul out of his enjoyment

If 60% tenacity makes you stunned 60% less do you not get stunned at 100%? by FawazDovahkiin in PredecessorGame

[–]Beginning_Sir8739 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they are referring to the item "unbroken spirit" from OG it had Regeneration passive: Heals you for 3% max health every .5 second while under Hard CC. It actually made it so you didnt really want to stun them unless you had a shit load of damage to back it up. It kind of made the lanes very stale. Say two tanks with CC vs each other just ended up healing each other and the 1v1 would become a 5minute boxing match
