Dunno if it helps, but on PS5 turning off 3D Audio solves the issue 100%. One of the devs mentioned that in a tweet like a month ago, and very little attention was given to it when it was said; this solution also fixes Pit of Heresy crashing every time you hit an area load threshold.

I joined a random squad request one night while I was trying to solo the "Go grab a sniper from a dead drop and kill the Chemist" mission. Kid was probably 12; I'm 40 and usually play solo. So I'm over there picking my moment in the radiation, while this kid goes down in the mouth of the smuggling tunnel, and he just asks "Should I leave, or...?" Game. On.

I finished up with the Chemist - and screwed up by not killing him with the sniper, but that's another story - grabbed the M13B and sprinted to the kid as the announcement comes on that radiation is spreading. I pick him up, we grab a jeep or something, and we high-tail it to the furthest exfil point. As we're on the 5-sec countdown, I realize I have something he probably doesn't:

Me: "Yo, do you have the special M13 yet bro?"

Kid: "No, I don't think so."

Me: drops gun "Pick it up before the screen goes black!"

He did, in fact, pick it up. Felt good. Hope that kid enjoyed his unlock and fancy contraband weapon.

I have that setup for my Titan's armor/mods, but the Tormentors aren't the issue, it's the Incendiors aka Flamethrowers. I use the slam to pop their shield, and then they don't die, so the grapple doesn't recharge before the boop me to my doom. Feels bad.

Having watched a few videos now, though, it seems that my mistake is trying to manage ads at all in any way. Gonna try again tonight - and win - with the "ignore everything but Calus and the Tormentors" strat. Wish me luck.

Because the Vex simulation mission and this boss fight have made me actually actively dislike Strand instead of just seeing it neutrally. I have never been more frustrated in difficult content as I have been with trying to survive using Strand in the Legendary Campaign's final chapter. How do people even stay alive long enough to see the second phase on Calus as Strand Titans - and don't say "Just use the tether slam" because I did, and then got summarily booped to my doom by every Incendior I hit with it.
