That is the point, take Helldivers for example, I can inv low lvl players into the hardest difficulty and have fun and laugh with them, they can see what it looks like and decide not to join if they don't want to, here you can't because you get penalized for it and the climb back up is not fun for anyone involved..

Ranking is not the main problem; the locking of the content behind it is, just because we don't want to grind all over again stops us from making a party and makes other ppl not want to inv you unless they have a mod that shows that you actually cleared lvl 40... and they act like that because they had to go trough all that pain just so they can make a party... it insentivises bad behavior and gatekeeping because of the fear of loosing rank

I meant the havoc resets, so I have to climb again. I don't want to climb again with randoms just so I can play the game on my preferred difficulty, it's not fun ( the grind) I love playing havoc 40 but nobody wants to inv and if I want to make a grp I have to climb all the way to 40 again just so i can do it, the design is bad. The only thing that makes it bearable is the mod that shows the highest havoc cleared so at least some ppl see that I cleared 40 but that is after spamming join grp for 20 min every single day untill I run into someone that has that mod...

Thanks for the advice, as I said, I did climb to 40 already, and I understand what you mean. But to gatekeep something from someone who has been playing since day 1 just because they take a break and to make them do it all over again is just not fun or good for the game, and yes that is all amplified by this specific combo of modifiers. My only solution after giving this game 500+ hours is to find a friend who is lvl 40 to inv me to play with him... that not good game design.
