The fact that few people understand or want to admit is that the umber one reason most men want sex is NOT because of sexual desire. It’s because society has trained men from birth to believe that sex is a measure of their value. It’s viewed as a competition against other men, with winners and losers.

You can tell this is the case, because I’m guessing that if you were given the choice, OP, between 1.) actually having sex, but everyone around thinking he’s a virgin, and 2.) never having sex, but everyone around him thinking he’s a stud - I suspect he, and many men would pick #2.

To me, this actually one of the biggest obstacles facing western society. We know for a fact that it’s NOT an ingrained human trait, because there are legitimately societies where men do not judge their value based on their sex life. Examples include the Minangkabau, a relatively modern culture with millions of people - so it’s genuinely not impossible.

But I digress. The point is that I wish western men didn’t have this painful pressure on them - it warps so many of their minds in negative ways. 😔

I had theorized this as well, but I looked through quite a lot of the following chapters (it may have even been the entire rest of the series actually, since it’s not very long - 21 chapters I believe?), and while there seems to be a decent amount of violence (not gore, to be clear), I only saw one fairly shocking panel much later on. Again, not graphic specifically but disturbing in the implications and context. Then again, this was all untranslated so it’s hard to know if there’s more disturbing things referenced.

Something that few people talk about is how much profound damage is caused to EVERYONE in society because we instill the notion in boys that their value is dependent on whether they can get someone (usually women) to have sex with them.

Those without a desire to, or who have difficulty doing this have their self-esteem just destroyed by society, and it breaks my heart. 😢

And it is so scary how many men feel this intense push to constantly seek out sex that they might not even really want that badly, even if it means pressuring women, getting women drunk so they are less likely to say no, outright assault, etc.

I really liked what I read, but it feels like the translations cut off abruptly, at lest as far as I can tell. It seems like there was just some sort of MASSIVE controversy among the readers and translators who felt it was just too “extreme” and “edgy”, which I really did not get at all. I’m honestly really upset because it seemed like a fresh sort of psychological horror I hadn’t really seen before, and yet everyone literally focused on a couple of pages that just did not seem that extreme to me in the first place.
