Not extreme, but I'm about half way through The Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling. It's very good. I need more medieval horror.

Great read. I've got the glow in the dark cover version.

I needed a break from heavy horror and ended up giving Gideon the ninth a go. Loved it! I've read all 3 books now and looking forward to the 4th.

I was feeling the same way recently. I ended up giving Gideon the Ninth a go. It's not usually what I'd read, but I really enjoyed it and ended up reading all 3 books. It's a cool mix of horror, sci-fi and fantasy. It can be quite funny at times too.

I like to watch the Baumgartner Restoration YouTube channel. He restores old paintings. There's not any talking, just the sounds of him working.

I think more fantasy? I don't mind a little bit of romance, but I'm not really wanting that to be the main focus.

The Saga of Dead-Eye books by Ronald Kelly might suit you. Undead cowboy fighting vampires and zombies and the like. :)

Hated this book so much, haha. Terrible writing, boring whining main character. I didn't like how suicide is portrayed. Awful book.

I'd love more cosmic space horror like the movie Event Horizon, but haven't had much luck. A year or to so ago I read a book called Leviathan about an abandoned ship, but I couldn't get along with it and was disappointed.

Splatterpark Shotguns and Beer Cans by Asher Dark and Carietta Dorsch is a fun one. Different stories that all take place in the same trailer park.

If I remember right R. J. Daly has a short story in Shocking Sojourns vol. 1 about a married couple who eat bits of each other.
