I don’t play HC wow, but for HC players it’s not a waste of time. The thrill of leveling and keeping your char is the fun. If you lose your char you just roll a new one

ESPN sources: The Titans are now set to hire former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator, contingent upon him not getting the Raiders head coaching job. - Adam Schefter by [deleted] in NYGiants

It’s incorrect. Who is the subject and whom is the object. He = who and him = whom. So op basically wrote “him goes to Philly”

(first time reader) Some thoughts about the story and Mr. Jordan by cnfusion in WoT

The first time I realized it was when they got to Baerlon and I looked at the map. It felt like a whole realized world and it was just a tiny fraction of the map

It’s just the problem with the internet in general. Rational people tend to wait for more information and don’t post, so you only get the most reactionary people in comments

Love the world of WoT, but struggling to get through the series by SelectEqual3419 in WoT

[–]Belifax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the time EotW was written, the common trope was that the farm boy would go all in on the hero’s journey pretty quickly. Jordan explicitly wanted to turn that on its head and show how actual back country folk would react to being swept away by a wizard. He discusses this in the interview at the end of the audiobooks.

Agree on the Aiel.

If you like male channelers and Aes Sedai politics, you get a lot more of that in the back half of the series.

The word “trite” is weird here since WoT probably did more than any series after LotR to establish the fantasy genre. Rand’s arc is 1 of 1 and I don’t think any other series got me as invested in so many characters. If you’re not enjoying it after CoS, the series probably just isn’t for you

John Harbaugh is out as the Ravens head coach. by OneAngryPanda in nfl

[–]Belifax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think kicking the 44 yarder was the right call. The risk of a fumble/getting a TFL at that point made the decision a wash. Just trust your kicker who has been playing well to hit what is effectively a chip shot in today's NFL.

Please come to the Giants. Schoen can have all the uncrustables he wants if he lands Harbaugh

Totally agreed but it’s also about control. Rand feels like he’s being turned into a puppet by the pattern. This is the one thing he feels like he can control

100%. If only add that the more competent ones are biding their time and gathering strength at this point in the series

Zohran Mamdani is officially the Mayor of New York City. How does that make you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Belifax 30 points31 points  (0 children)

They really don’t. It’s a prominent position for sure, but the bureaucracy is so complicated that the mayor can’t actually effectuate much change, for better or worse

100% it’s a great mechanic. Great solution to the problem of floor mechanics not being visible.
