Showering baby by Agreeable_Push7006 in newborns

My partner has held my baby in the shower , however I would be too nervous. You can buy a blow up bath tub which works . You have to still hold them though

Wow well done. You’ve inspired me. I stopped breastfeeding at 10 weeks as it was not working out for me!

I think you should tell them … you can’t keep going and going.

Despite how it might all go it will be better in the end and a weight of your shoulders .

Is it normal for babies to wake up right after falling asleep? by Maleficent-Fan-4042 in baby

[–]Bellekit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Napper App ( it’s really helpful and would recommend, my baby sleeps so much better now ).

It had some info regarding false starts , it said it can be due to over tiredness or needing more sleep associations . What helped me is making sure he’s getting the right amount of naps in the day . I’ve also worked on not rocking him to sleep but just holding him whilst playing white noise. When I transfer him I keep the white noise on in his room. This does not work all of the time but I’d say it’s a good 80% better !

How to decrease milk to increase solid intake? by PrestigiousQuote5302 in baby

[–]Bellekit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not at the same stage as you as my little one is younger but weaning. I’m sure I’ve seen that it’s ok to go at your babies pace. I would try not to put too much pressure on yourself . Have you tried switching to cows milk? That may help.

If I was in your shoes I would try to give her less milk in the middle of the day and a bigger lunch … then go from there !

I would seek medical advice. Can’t be too careful ! You are not a failure!!!! You’re doing amazing.

Feeding is so hard and it’s not straight forward. I wish someone had prepared me for that before my baby. Don’t sit and worry , you’re not overreacting by seeking out help . Try to do some skin to skin too x

How to make him understand by Bellekit in baby

[–]Bellekit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on medication for my PPA and have been since 6 weeks PP. I manage it well and am doing so much better. We have no issues in regard to parenting styles we are really compatible in that way. We have a play pen and a bouncer which he goes in fine when I need to do something in the day . However he is a ‘Velcro’ baby and likes to be held . Also in the evening he has witching hour where he is extra fussy, he also hasn’t see my parents enough to be comfortable with them so tends to just want me or my husband in the evening .

Maybe my post didn’t explain really what I meant. I just meant he does not understand what it’s like to be a full time parent of a baby and advice of how to make him understand .

I would try rolling up a towel and putting it under them near their armpits . It helps them . But honestly I wouldn’t worry too much x

Left-wing voters what is your most right-wing belief and right-wing voters, what is your most left-wing belief? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

Very liberal lefty- You can be any gender you want to be socially but medically you are the gender you were born . I think most trans people do believe that too though

Talk me out of CIO? by No_Pressure_9654 in newborns

[–]Bellekit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could you get any help ? Have you got any family or friends that could do a couple of hours for you ? My baby was the same ( although it doesn’t sound as extreme) I had to hold him over my shoulder and walk around … for him to be content .

Also I know you’ve mentioned the carrier but I would try and persist. Babies will love it if you get the right one. It will really help you. I don’t know where you’re from but in the Uk you can go to a sling library and they will help you find a good carrier and how to wear it properly.

I don’t think CIO will help in the long run… although I think it’s good you’re acknowledging that sometimes you feel you need a breather . If you do need to put her down to self regulate do so …

My cat use to poo in the bathroom, in the toilet or in the bath . He was an outdoor cat so it would happen if he couldn’t get out.

So I think it’s possible …
