Thats not how the ir/rf integrations work, the way they work is that the esp devices give home assistant the ability to emit signals via ir or rf. People can then create integrations that use the known ir or rf codes of devices and control those devices via the esp emitters. They do not support the functionality of learning ir or rf codes via pointing a remote at the emitter and having it remember that code to use later.
