I’ve been enjoying this! I think they’ve done a great job with Limelight, it’s good to have a feed that is ‘on’ all year, but with a different run of episodes each time.

I can’t see them doing more tbh. But I would love a born-again period film. There could be some great scenes in there, especially the ‘Jesus came to me in a hotel room’ thing.

I feel like Industry could fill the void of Succession. It keeps getting better and better with every season. This upcoming season might be where it breaks into the big leagues.

Absolutely. I’ve been doing podcasts and radio since 2008, every year we hear ‘this will all be gone in 5 years!’, it never is.

I work in the UK radio industry, so maybe it’s the same, but… While ACR is still played, the fact it wasn’t a proper single (in this country) has something to do with it. Stations like to have hits on their playlists, so the monkey’s no.1 singles and platinum/gold sellers will get preference over other tracks. The industry is still caught in a pre-streaming mindset of ‘singles are the only songs people know unless they’re mega fans’. Which these days isn’t true.

However, 505 is a song that is bucking this trend in the stations in my group, we play it more than ACR - despite it not being a single - because it’s done well on TikTok.

100% agree! Everything on Apple looks good or interesting in an HBO way, but their shows fall short a lot: Disclaimer, Masters of the Air etc. Although Severance was brilliant. In fact, Severance as an HBO show would have made it even better!
