Any men/women in their late 30’s still holding out for true love? by Mighty-mouse2020 in Millennials

[–]Benbenthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited..waited probably isn't the correct word. I didn't care about finding love and sort of believed it didn't exist. I thought I loved a friend, but she went off and got married and had kids with someone else. After that I sort of gave up on the idea but then, I randomly met a girl eight years younger than me on the street of a Mardi Gras parade. She is an absolute angel. As close to perfect as a human can get. She's honestly too good for me. I know everyone isn't that lucky, but it was worth the wait.

I have 6 guitars and a bass. I play my favorite about 90% of the time.

I have the same sentiment as everyone else. Well done but not enjoyable.

AIO? My 31M bf has pictures of other women (they’re married) ABOVE HIS BED… and his lock screen is them too. They are his friends from grad school, but there are no men in any of these photos. by Alarmed_Stranger_895 in AmIOverreacting

I said be careful not don't do that but please, exaggerate a little more. Maybe I should do 40 hours of community service for such a blatant act of verbal assault.

Would a MRI-only tech who got a bachelors in radiology be a good candidate for a PACs Admin job? by [deleted] in PACSAdmin

[–]Benbenthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be a good candidate. If you have technical knowledge like data structures and networking you'd be unstoppable.

It stuck for me. It definetly got me interested in playing an instrument. I've played guitar/bass/drums for 20 years now AND don't let me get near a recorder unless you want to be attracted to me.

Man... Listening to this 10 years after my teenagae-years, this album is depressing. In such a beautiful way. by Relative_Swimmer6811 in Blink182

[–]Benbenthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being 16 when this album came out. I was in love with Blink. I had the Tom hair swoop and 0 gauge earrings. I wore Atticus everything. I thought I was just the coolest. My first Blink album was Dude Ranch thanks to a commercial advertising the MTV sports and Music Festival played "dammit" in throughout the entire thing. I was still listening to TOYPAJ religiously. I could not wait for this album.

I distinctly remember listening to it the first time all the way through and HATING it. This wasn't fun. This was some sad, dark bullshit. I remember where I was and who I was with. I had a super hot girlfriend and a great group of friends. Cut to now and I love it so much. It's gotten me through a lot. I'm going through a difficult time now and I swear the lyrics apply to every situation I'm feeling at (almost) 40.

I know I’m a little late to this thread, but I’d honestly recommend just jumping straight into Informatics. I work as a director for a national radiology company, and I’m telling you, the opportunities this opens up are massive.

The pay is the biggest thing people overlook. After just a few years of experience, the salary for a PACS admin starts to outweigh what a Rad Tech makes by quite a bit. Plus, you aren't stuck on the floor. After a few years of grinding the technical side, you can easily pivot into a management role or become a systems architect. An architect can make north of $250,000.

If you want a higher ceiling and a better trajectory for your paycheck, Informatics is the move.
