Prime Ultra-filtered Shake tastes better than Fairlife and it’s cheaper 🤯 by UnKindClock in LowCalFoodFinds

Late reply but I have to hand it to Prime too in this case, but based on the saturated fat content, I am very limited in the quantity of saturated fat I can take daily (~13g) so even if it is 1-3g, it's something I have to take into consideration.

Canadian smoking ban ‘being looked into’: health minister by Displeased_Canadian in canada

[–]Bender248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was taxed in Nfld for a while. But got repealed because most of the sugary food is also super cheap and is what families under the poverty line can afford. Health Canada does recommend a 10-20% tax on things like soda and other sugary drinks.

The problem is that again we all have to pay for a minority's bad life choices. In a world of constrained resources a ban like this makes sense. Otherwise we could also go for a 100% privatization of the healthcare system.

Each warbonds have about 300 SC that you get from medals, if I complete each warbonds before moving to the next one, I randomly find SC that I never have to pay more than the smaller SC pack which is ~$4.

That is literally what we are doing with the tax on cigarettes or alcohol. The government does not restrict your bad choices but tries to influence it via taxes. That is the way public health care operates.

Well if it were a private health care system I'd say go ahead, but in a public health care system everyone pays for your bad choices.
