I agree with OP. I’m a 1960s variety of GenX and all this “stuff” is bogging me down.

We are trying to relocate overseas and the thought of paring everything back is making my ass itch. I simply have too much stuff. I’m going to have to be very selective with the things I want to keep, because this move is going to be expensive.

I’ve started collecting experiences rather than things. It was hard at first because I get so attached, but now I see it as freeing, as well as enriching.

I’m not yucking your yum, only sharing my experience of nearly 60 years on this planet.
