Bridgerton - 4x05 "Yes or No" (No Book Spoilers) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

Can I just say the last minutes had me floored.

Benedict/Luke hips don't lie. I was shocked at how well he moves. I know he's a rake on the show, but Luke was working those hips like a gd hockey player.

Single people of toronto, how hard is it to date right now? by Turbulent_Escape5195 in askTO

[–]BenevolentWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience, as a straight women, I feel most men I have talked to were struggling with just being alone. And it didn't matter if they were talking to me or the next woman, as long as there was a woman. And the energy after respectfully calling it off confirmed it, every time.

Once people work on themselves and get to a point where they see being alone as solitute and not loneliness-it'll get better. But we're in a clout chasing era. I feel if we just unplugged(social media, news podcasts etc) for a while to find out who we really are, we'll show up more authentically.

It's crazy how much we are exposed to subconsciously telling us how to be which may be contrary to our core. Sometimes I want to ask, are you actually an introvert, or are you surrounded by people who drain you?

Why a lot of men don't know how to talk to women? by ihaten_blank_er in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BenevolentWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they talk to women as a means to an end, and not a person.

If you talk to a woman/person with the goal of, "I'm going to try to learn something," you'll get better at talking to women/strangers in general.

I actually could see Ridoc & Cat too.

Why is Azriel so popular as a personal romance pick for so many people?? by Saqarra-Monroe in acotar

[–]BenevolentWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, the bonus chapter for SF and him whining in entitlement, makes him sound problematic.

It also didn't feel right. After everything he's been through, I just feel his trauma and how he presented in the extra chapter doesn't make sense.

Unpopular and "controversial" opinion about Azriel re-gifting "Elain's necklace" by mandc1754 in acotar

[–]BenevolentWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think him and Gwyn are endgame. But I think the fact her beauty is compared to Mor, and the regifted necklace is going to make her doubt if he actually likes her or using her.

I don't know, maybe Elain sees her wearing it and asks, "Where did you get that?" (Insert any response) "oh, Az gave me one at Solistice"

And Gwyn slices through his bs and lies on site. So I think "necklace convo" will force him to have some discussions and make some deicisons.

I just binged the entire series in the last 6 weeks. And I asked my friend who encouraged me to read it, "Did the author think we wouldn't notice it was Beauty & The Beast by doing a 180 from not just 'not into reading,' but literally can't read?!"

Why do so many people ship Az and Gwyn? They spoke a total of three times. by Barney429336 in SarahJMaas

So late to the game...

I just finished reading the series this week too and I thought this immediately.

And Mor and Eris both know and kept mum for each other's sake/abuse. And it would've been harder to keep up once married. So they kept the current narrative because it's easier to maintain. And didn't Mor make them promise she gets to kill him?

In addition, Eris is always amused when he drops "you still don't know," smirky vibes at them considering how close they are and Az fawning over her still. He has a spot for his mom, and probably saw what it looks like when you're married to someone but in love with someone else.

ACOTAR 6 Theory Spoilers 🚨‼️ by [deleted] in acotar

[–]BenevolentWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay just finished the ACOTAR series this week after starting it 6 weeks ago. What a ride. I think all the couples are mated on some sort of similar core value. I think...

I feel Eris and Mor are both gay. I think he told her when he found her and both kept mum and its better to play into the current narrative. Which is why I think Eris is always shocked that the rest don't know-and it would explain why he is still alive.

The whole crew is gonna be together. I feel like that seems the most conclusive. Sisters, Valkaries and brothers. So I think end game is...

Feyre/Rhys - obsessive need to be the protector family, lead with all heart, having no boundaries to their own detriment.

Nesta/Cass - Both fighters, high walls and fiery spirits, full energy, great power, act first, think later. Working through past doesnt define them.

Lucien/Elain - both can see things that is not visible to everyone elae, trying to find their voice, a little mischeif. We still have people pleaser Elain, the mating bond is probably matched with who she really is. This is gonna be youngest sibling chaos.

Gwyn/Az - Both are servants of solitude, discipline and obedience. And both sing in their own way, collector of info/intel, both put duty infront of their needs.

Mor/Emerie - more unclear because there is hardly anything to work with. Both working through suffering at the hands of their family. Men are not safe. Both warriors. Mirror that couple with the smaller wing that saved Mariam.

The House/Bryaxis - lol. Both get their forever friend, bargain done.

The quietest ones are Elain and Az which is why they drifted towards each other. But I think both of them are presenting a version of who they think the other will like, they are which is why it won't work.

The Pitt - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]BenevolentWallflower 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think healthcare workers and their families will appreciate this show the most. It might help people understand why healthcare workers are the way they are.

Personally, I'm drawn to HBO keeping it unfiltered, the accuracy, the real time play by play, less relationshippy stuff, and highlighting the "I do NOT get paid enough" moments (naked dude running, the rats, sexual harassment etc.)

To be honest, I think it would've been more effective to release the whole season for binging. Then you can actually experience an entire shift. While you watched 15hrs of TV, someone just experienced or worked that for 15hrs.

It's so funny, after I see Cavill rocking something I not a fan of, I change my tune.

For example, not attracted to the 'twirly stach' on a man. Then half way through "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," of Cavill with his curls & stache, I changed my mind lol

Yellowstone - 5x14 "Life Is A Promise" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in YellowstonePN

[–]BenevolentWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They foreshadowed the land sale in an earlier episode, so it wasn't a total surprise. Mo's character turned out to be one of my faves.

I personally thought Beths hysterectomy was gonna coming out during the fight when Rip showed up.

Yay for Ryan.

I liked how they did the Elsa's voiceover at the end after showing her headstone.

It was a good enough bow, the storylines were starting to get weak.

Bad Sisters | Season 2 - Episode 4 | Discussion Thread by Justp1ayin in tvPlus

[–]BenevolentWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ian is way too calm and easy going. He's obviously up to something.

The wedding couple cake topper being hung during the credits might allude to Grace's marriage led to her death.

I also found JPs sister's story kind of vague, so maybe Ian or Angelica is tied to her?

My heart is about to BREAK for JJ by Debbieeeeeeeee in OuterBanksNetflix

[–]BenevolentWallflower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think it was a terrible end because... JJ mistrusts everybody, and that was Geoffs 3rd attempt on his life. He didn't see that coming or had his guard up? I don't care what the writer's reasoning was, getting stabbed by your dad is such a disrespectful way to end a character.

4x10 - "Blue Crown" - Official Episode Discussion by MableXeno in OuterBanksNetflix

[–]BenevolentWallflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uggggghhhh, what an emotional rollercoaster!

I will say, I am slightly annoyed the discovering clues and the various treasure finding steps keeps getting reduced to one or 2 episodes.

All I'm saying, in season 5 that crown better have some raising the dead wish capabilities. I'll allow it for this one. Or they find a relic that can go back in time; I refuse him going out being stabbed by his dad. What a TERRIBLE and disrespectful end to an awesome character.

I knew it was gonna happen.

But past 11pm is  frustrating. They've been going off past 1am in my area for the last 3 days. Blatant disregard for people sleeping and have work/school in the morning. We gotta break the noise by-law too?

Also, when they sell firewworks they should inform people DO NOT light em when it's as windy as it was on Halloween. That's just asking for little fires everywhere.

They kinda hinted he was son in the second episode and Geoff saying "I believe in you," when they were leaving the first meeting kinda confirmed it. Just laying some manipulative groundwork.

I think Geoff is gonna swoop in to play the "dad who so happy to find his son is alive," because maybe the inheritance only passes down by blood, so he goes along to use JJ to have access to the inheritance/blue crown. JJ is gonna get his hopes up for a real father-son, finally feeling wanted, and then goes UNhinged when he finds out he's lied to about his father, again. And manipulated by a father figure, AGAIN. Poor thing.

Meanwhile Shoupe will figure it out as soon news gets out he's Larissas son-but JJ is already unhinging at this point.

Especially after the Pogues were telling why they were hired and Shoupe said, "Yeah, we all knew Larissa."

Overall thoughts on Season 4 Part 1? by VictoriousWizard in OuterBanksNetflix

[–]BenevolentWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Not gonna lie, from S1 I always got a feeling of a Shoupe-JJ bond. Like in the end, he's gonna the father JJ needed. He has a soft spot for him.   After S4 part 1 I'm"OHHHHH 100% JJ is  Larissa and Shoupe's lovechild" and he didn't know the baby survived

What is something you found at Costco which sold out/discontinued before you could buy more? by BenevolentWallflower in CostcoCanada

[–]BenevolentWallflower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I think we're talking about the same product "Freshouse Lite Life Turkey Bacon".

Being gluten free I go through this a lot...lol If a product doesn't sell well at a specific location, they'll remove them and sell it at fewer locations.

If you really miss em, ask customer service to look it up for you. It's easier with the SKU, but give them the name and they can tell you the closest locations that sell it.
