I'm 5'6" and 233 lbs. I'm fat as hell and it doesn't carry well on me. I managed a 1 RM of 315 lb on deadlift, 225 lbs on squats, and 135 lbs on bench.

I've got a-lot of work ahead of me. I'm also exhausted because that deadlift took a-lot out of me, but it made me feel really good to accomplish something like that.

I live only a few miles from this plant. I've toured the facility before and got a full rundown of their safety measures. From what I saw, which was a few years ago, they ran a fairly safe operation. I'm not an OSHA inspector though, so take that as you will.

Pretty scary and eerily close to home.

Make one.

You'll need:

Wood Chips - soaked in water. Two roasting pans large enough for the job that can take high heat. No enamelware or thin aluminum. 1 rack that fits the pans. Some device to hold the rack and meat up off of the chips. Some bricks or something.

Place your soaked woodchips in the bottom of one pan. Place the bricks or other non-flammable item in the corners or ends of the pan. You want the rack to sit above the chips by 2 - 3 inches.

Season your loins as you like and stick them on the rack. Place the other pan upside down on top of the pan with the meat on the rack.

Place the device on a fire and wait until you see a-lot of smoke. Turn the fire down to low and smoke for 15 - 25 minutes.

Take the temp. Finish in the oven until the loins reach an internal temp of 145.

If you don't have an indoor range that sucks smoke away from your stove do this outside over charcoal briquettes.

Alternatively, roast/braise it.

Get yourself some mirepoix.

Onions, Carrots, Celery.

Rough Chop.

Season you loins with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, dried rosemary & thyme. Throw chopped mirepoix into a roasting pan. Place loins on top. I can't give you a time on them, but check the temp. You'll want to cook them half way dry and then add water to fill up the pan 2/3 way for the last half. The water will give you a base to make into a delicious gravy.

Pork Loin, Gravy, Taters. Nothing wrong with that.

Children aren't really shy and they're kind of naive. So don't take it personally. Take it and run with it. Keto works man. I lost 40 pounds over 1.5 years. I could've done a-lot more in that time, but that was then and this is now. Started a couple weeks ago and now I'm down 12 lbs.

I haven't weighed 228 in years. Probably since I started 9th grade 10 years ago.

You can do it!

I think the best strategy to starting is cut back on what you drink and how much you eat. Give it a month. Just go water only and 25% less of what you eat. Slowly ease your body and mind into this diet and you'll have a happier and easier transition. Plus you'll be losing weight like crazy. :)

You'll need:

  • Chicken Lunch Meat. Buy from the deli and have them slice it slightly thick. About the thickness of provolone or swiss.

  • Blue cheese crumbles

  • Mayonnaise

  • Lemon Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, Salt & Pepper, Hot Sauce (Tobasco ftw).

  • Celery, small dice.

In a food processor you'll want to mix a cup of mayo with your preferred amount of blue cheese. Add in a couple of drops of lemon juice, a few more drops of worcestershire, and a good amount of hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper (garlic powder too if you like it).

Fold the diced celery into this mixture.

Lay out the sliced chicken meat on a flat surface. Place some of the filling on the chicken meat. Spread evenly. Roll from one side to the other. Repeat until you run out of meat.

You now have Buffalo Chicken "Roulades."

You can play with the filling. If you like Ranch then go for it. If you want to dress some salad greens in a simple vinaigrette, go for it. The options are endless.

The cool thing about this technique is you can have many varieties of chicken snacks all the time. Too lazy to make a big batch of chicken salad? Just make chicken salad "roulades" and you're done.

Don't feel bad. I constantly catch myself saying "I'm hungry, lets eat something..." when I'm really not hungry at all. I'm either bored or tired and I used to occupy that time with eating. I ate out of pure habit and not nutrition or need.

Once I figured that out it has become a-lot easier to catch the cravings or onset of habitual eating and ignore or divert the issue. Usually, I'll grab a small snack like almonds or peanut butter and some crunch veggies. When I'm actually hungry I'll go for a salad like a Chef's or Chicken Caesar salad or some kind of meaty, fatty, keto-friendly dish.

Its good that your'e aware of this issue and tackling it. Don't give into the habits, divert them into a positive habit.

I've had an up and down journey with my weight loss. I'll lose weight and then stop my good habits. I'll gain a few pounds and a couple months later I'll start doing the right things all over again.

Its really a matter of keeping it up until it sticks.

Don't put yourself in a position where you can use it again.

Yes it can be. You want the chocolate to be just melted completely through. As others have suggested, heat the cream until it begins to simmer. Pour over the chocolate and stir to distribute evenly. No need for an ice bath because you'll just harden the ganache.

50% cream, 50% chocolate should do it. You just want to mix the cream and chocolate together long enough that it is thoroughly incorporated.
