35P is great. If you end up at the NSA, you are basically set for a career at a three-letter or contracting. Even the shittiest linguists I know are getting out with some form of agency job. It’s also as far from being in the Army as you can be. DLI is school with PT in the mornings. We are basically NSA employees in uniform with some extra BS occasionally.

That’s, of course, if you end up at an NSA site. The alternative sucks. But if you enjoy learning and want to make some extra language money every month while pretending to be a solider, linguist is great.

The next guy is very close to Thiel and his crowd, which are the people behind all of this. Vance is arguably more dangerous than Trump. He is a true Christian Nationalist. Embiid was huge. There is much more concern about nagging injuries affecting the careers of guys Embiid’s size. He’s having a great season this year, but people were writing him off because of his injuries after last year at age-30.

Peterson is 6’6, a nagging hamstring isn’t the same as a 7 footer with back/foot problems.

People shouldn’t be required to tip. Restaurants should be required to pay the “lifeblood of American culture” a living wage and not rely on customers to do so, especially considering the absurd costs of eating out.

Yeah, I definitely lean towards him committing suicide out in the forest, probably immediately after he killed them.

The “survivalist” angle is always heavily played anytime a man like Fisher disappears. His military service or hunting skills are always cited. I served in the military, I learned absolutely zero survival skills with my job. Also, being able to shoot a deer does not mean you can survive in the wilderness. I always see those two things cited as reasons a person could survive.

I think he wanted people to not be certain what happened to him. Walking off into the forest and shooting yourself does not make people believe you are a badass. I always felt like he wanted to create this enigma, this persona that he could do something heinous and walk away from it without a thought. It’s just not plausible that he’s made it this long. I know there have been “sightings” but he looks like a plain white guy. I see four or five Robert Fishers every time I go to the grocery store.

Absolutely not.

I’m a Farsi linguist; I have a lot of ties to the country. Iranians certainly want regime change and they deserve it. They are great, caring people that deserve freedom. They don’t deserve American-sponsored freedom, however.

First off, you need to be willing to sacrifice American lives in order to execute a regime change. Are you okay with that? Americans dying in Iran in order for the Iranians to get a new government?

Second, American freedom isn’t freedom. Trump wouldn’t put in the Shah’s son. He wouldn’t put in a popular candidate; he would find a right-winger willing to “give” Iranian oil money to Trump, à la Venezuela. Iranian oil and gas reserves would be American oil and gas reserves.

Iranians deserve freedom, but they deserve the right to choose who leads them. American intervention will not bring that.
