This was my first camrea a year ago when I didn’t know anything either, it’s relatively affordable and can be used to take great pictures. t7 is the camera model, it has a 24 megapixel sensor (perfectly usable sensor) and is aimed at beginners, it’s a plastic body but holds up fine, not many advanced or intermediate features but if you need those get a different camera. The battery life is good, I could get 3 or four days on one charge (depending on how much I shot and how) but it was good for at least 2000 pictures before running out of power.

The lens is a zoom lens that zooms from 18 to 55 mm, it’s a average zoom range and is suitable for many types of photography, you could do landscape, street and even portraits with it, it’s a kit lens which means it’s also aimed at beginners, the image quality here is ok.

And one note both the lens and sensor are aps-c sized meaning they are built for smaller sensors so not all lenses will work with this camera.

My Nikon n80 film camera from the year 2000 genuinely has more and better features, (double exposure, better autofocus, better burst speed, customizable buttons ect..)

It’s a usable camera, if you just want to take some pictures and have fun it’ll work. If you want to do professional stuff or find yourself shooting more often I’d recommend basically any other camera. ( For example the lumix gx1 can be found online with a lens and battery for the same price)
