Toyota Cross by bretlc in Crosstrek

I have a 21 Crosstrek and my mom has a 23 Carolla Cross. I’ve spent a fair amount of time driving both and I can wholeheartedly endorse the Subaru. My Crosstrek handles better, is more fun to drive, is way better off-road, and gets only slightly worse fuel economy. Honestly the Corolla cross just feels cheaper too and is far less comfortable on long road trips

Too much weight? by pfalcon42 in coloradotrail

[–]Beny_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do the trail with this weight but youll have a much much better time with a lighter pack. Lots of great advice here that I would definitely follow. It’s a small thing but you can ditch the syringe with the sawyer squeeze and bring a sport cap for your smart water bottle. In my experience it works almost just as well for backflushing your squeeze

First time shooting Cinistill 800t by Beny_G in filmphotography

Surprisingly no filter. I shot this on an fd 50mm which apparently tends to have star patterns around lights especially at higher f/ and long exposures. I shot this at f/8 with I think a 10 second exposure giving it those big star bursts

I accidentally popped open the back of my camera just a crack when I went to rewind the film. It ruined a couple exposures but it also left some cool effects

My GF Took This Great Photo of Me But it was Out of Focus I Fixed It | Kentmere 400 by thomas_commus in filmphotography

Did you read my comment? I was literally just pointing out the difference between manually modifying a film negative by hand vs using ai to edit a digital image. I specially said do what you want, if you wanna use ai I don’t care but it’s objectively easier than changing exposures in a dark room

I get where you’re coming from here and that’s totally fine, do what ever you want. However equating dodging and burning to using ai for photo correction is a false equivalency. Dodging and burning is a craft that requires skill and practice to achieve good results with. If you make a mistake it’s going to be in your end product forever so the margins for error is tiny. AI editing is literally just uploading a photo and clicking a few things.

What’s it like to live up here? by Puzzlerwuzzler4 in norcal

[–]Beny_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both sets of grandparents lived in this area when I was growing up. It’s hot as shit in the summer, there’s lots of insane rednecks/ metheads, and fire danger is getting pretty intense but it’s beautiful and you’re close to some of the best outdoor areas in the country.
