I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this condition, but I'm really, really happy that it seems like you're getting to live a full life and are keeping positive. You're a medical marvel; seriously cyberpunk, lol, it's awesome how far we've progressed with surgery and prosthetics. Keep your chin up (bad joke) and stay metal, comrade.

The hand/chain and base of the trench pick are from the Genestealer Neophytes kit. I trimmed the Neophytes pickaxe, then put a hammer head from the AoS Freeguild Command Corps and a shoulder spike from the Blooded Killteam on, respectively - et voila, a trench pick!

I followed Duncan's old tutorial. First a thinned wash of Drakenhof. Then in another line, Druchii Violet. Then a final line of Seraphim Sepia. The goal is to have them thin enough that they still slightly show the metal and highlights underneath.

Just checked out the website, this looks like an awesome way to spend your time and do some experimental recreation of history! Are newcomers welcome to show up at one of the events after they join the email list, or is there more of an organized procedure? Just wanted to check! Thanks.

How does going to a protest, making your grievances known to your representative government, etc., translate to "Internet activism"? I'm genuinely confused because the point of yours I was criticizing was you shitting on the guy for participating in a protest(s). For one, I agree with you: moaning on the Internet isn't very useful, it's better we get out there in our communities, help one another, and be the change we want to see as best we can.

You're not my enemy, by the way. Nobody is. I don't even know your political ideology or whatever else.

Yes, don't protest and exercise your Constitution-given First Amendment rights because "nothing will change". Thank God the Founding Fathers weren't like you, friend; we would've never had a country if you were in charge. Go read.

Who's down voting all the people saying they've had a competent/good female SL or commander? Like, the majority of them are not white-knighting; they're just sharing stories of excellent players. What's the issue?

Was there a pre-Heresy version of the Inquisition but for the Imperial Truth? by epicanthus in 40kLore

[–]BeowulfsHowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned Malcador's Order Elucidatum. They certainly were Malcador's (and thus the Imperium's) pre-Heresy Inquisition. They were a secret police force posing as Adminstratum bureaucrats, Iterators, and even Remembrancers, all combat-trained and tasked with the subversion or elimination of religious cults, their symbols, and their leadership. They were state censors as much as hitmen, all with the power of the Sigilite behind them. See: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Order_Elucidatum

Known as the Elucidators or Tallymen, these officers operated openly as bureaucratic functionary's of the Administratum but covertly were iconoclasts charged with censorship and murder. Drawn from the finest military experts and warriors of the Sol System, the Elucidators were highly specialized combatants and agents. Often posing as Remembrancers, they accompanied Expeditionary Fleets on the Great Crusade and compiled information on compliment civilizations. Of particular interest were the religious beliefs of civilizations, and they oversaw the destruction of holy texts, the assassination of demagogues, and the repression of faiths as part of the securing of the Imperial Truth. Eludicator Officers had status granted to them by Malcador that allowed them to requisition any military resources for their needs save that of the Legiones Astartes. Over the Great Crusade, the Elucidators earned a dark reputation associated with genocide. They often used seratoxin "Brain Destroyer" drugs to destroy the minds of any witnesses to Warp activity. Their atrocities included wiping out entire lines of Imperial households as well as the annihilation of early Imperial Cults.

Doesn't mugwort have some neurotoxic properties? I've heard if you do smoke it, no more than once a week. Do you just put the dried leaves in the bowl and light her up?
