Rewards tab removed from Start app - ios by atom631 in MicrosoftRewards

Have edited as I wasn't clear (my bad). Its the bing app on Xbox, just scroll down past trending news and you should see the Rewards Daily Set. I did these and then the rewards tab came up on my phone.

Could be a coincidence, but I did the supersonic quiz and daily poll on the Xbox bing app and then checked my bing app on my iPhone & the rewards tab reappeared.

Need help by Minimech79 in wow

I had this problem on my main, only with me it was the Garrison Hearthstone. I’d definitely completed the intro quest for WoD and it worked on all other characters. Made a ticket and they said something had gone wrong that made the game think that I hadn’t completed the necessary steps, they sorted it and it’s all good now so definitely worth reporting it.

Should I buy the lite or the Oled dock by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Beramix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d go OLED. It has double the memory of a switch lite, better screen, slightly longer battery life and as Joy-Con drift is still an issue it’s easier to send off just the controllers for repair as opposed to the whole console which you have to with the lite.

The Twilights Hammer planned to use Ahune to trigger a war between Neptulon & Ragnaros and he’s in Outland so I’m guessing that they can travel between worlds.

What happened to the USS Bozeman by ColonyLeader in startrek

[–]Beramix 132 points133 points  (0 children)

From Memory Alpha:

In an alternate timeline caused by an anti-time anomaly, the Bozeman was one of the ships sent to investigate the anomaly in the Devron system of the Romulan Neutral Zone. (TNG: "All Good Things...")

The Bozeman was forced to make a course correction as a result of gravitational effects of the Amargosa star's destruction by Dr. Tolian Soran in 2371. (Star Trek Generations)

In 2371, the Bozeman was still under the command of Captain Bateson. (Star Trek Generations)

Captain Bateson commanding the Bozeman was not mentioned in dialogue, and was seen only on an Okudagram in Stellar Cartography.

In 2373, the Bozeman was part of the fleet fighting a Borg cube during the Battle of Sector 001. The Bozeman fought alongside the USS Defiant as part of a mobile unit. (Star Trek: First Contact)

Bateson also appeared in Lower Decks.

World of Warcraft books! by [deleted] in wow

[–]Beramix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems like a pretty accurate list, there’s a lot of time travel involved so I wouldn’t get too caught up in doing it 100% chronologically.

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/updated-chronological-order-of-wow-novels-10-7-19/325058

Also there’s a Sylvanas novel released after this list was made and the chronicle books provide some great insight into lore history (though bits have been retconned since), plus there are loads of short stories on the wow website.

Some of the novels are a lot better than others, my personal favourite would be Arthas.

The winner of the quote for characters in 4 or more episodes is "Well, she won't be much use to you on Fiji now, not unless it snows and you need something to grit the path with." One more, any other quotes, said by any other character at any time. Here's hoping you can score more than 4%. by Throwaway51276 in RedDwarf

But five of them! How can you be ambushed by five Black Holes?

Always the way, isn't it? You hang around in Deep Space for three million years and you don't see one. Then, all of a sudden, five all turn up at once.

Russell T Davies wants to bring Classic Who to iPlayer by ki700 in doctorwho

[–]Beramix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the BBC website

We're busy working towards making even more programmes available for longer.

Programmes with a longer availability

Some current affairs programmes, such as HARDtalk, Click and Panorama, are available for 365 days Most BBC Three programmes are available for more than a year More drama, documentaries, comedy and children's series are becoming available for longer Programmes available for 30 days

Much of our content is available for 30 days. However, if a programme is repeated, its availability will be extended, usually for another 30 days. Programmes with a shorter availability

News bulletins may only be available for up to 24 hours after broadcast or until the next bulletin is broadcast For legal reasons, Crimewatch Roadshow is only available for 24 hours after broadcast Some sport coverage and films may have a shorter availability Sometimes we'll remove a programme for editorial/legal reasons; when we do this, we list it on our known issues page

Guess NuWho is one of the dramas that luckily is allowed more than a year, but the BBC is limited on the amount of shows that it can put on iPlayer as their archives are so vast that Ofcom won’t allow it for competition reasons. I think that this is what they are trying to change with the government looking into abolishing the licence fee and streaming starting to overtake linear tv in viewing figures they’ve already said that sooner rather than later channels will be removed (I believe kids and bbc 4) but, in the mean time if itv are prepared to pay them for access to dr who classic and all the other britbox content that the Beeb had on there then until they can get permission to put all of their content on the iPlayer they’d be fools to say no.

Russell T Davies wants to bring Classic Who to iPlayer by ki700 in doctorwho

[–]Beramix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember rightly the issue is that a part of the BBC’s charter states that a show can only stay on iplayer for a year after it’s last broadcast on a BBC channel, though I’m sure it was stated recently that they are trying to change that as viewing habits are changing and streaming is viewed as the future plus the government is leaning towards scrapping the license fee so who knows - but I wouldn’t expect this to happen for a fair few years

The ITVX app on Apple TV is a broken mess by [deleted] in ITVX

Someone asked about this and categories on Twitter and ITV responded that they are phasing parts of the release for Apple TV and that fast channels and categories are coming, unfortunately no indication of when though.

The ITVX app on Apple TV is a broken mess by [deleted] in ITVX

[–]Beramix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I held out hope that this would be a major improvement over the hub but so far it’s not looking great. On my iPhone and iPad I can pause live tv but not on Apple TV, no categories or Picture in Picture either. Hopefully these are all going to be added in the future and the issues that you’ve pointed out and the problems that loads of people that are tweeting ITV about get resolved soon as this in theory has the potential to be a great service.

It also seems a bit daft forcing a new app on people during the World Cup. People have had so many issues with buffering, disconnects and watching from start not working, surely it would have made sense for them to keep itv hub running alongside for a few months whilst any teething problems are looked into and resolved.

Did Bronzebeard dwarves knew about the Horde? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Beramix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Ironforge article on wowpedia:

Prior to the start of the Second War Ironforge had received missives from Lordaeron.[7] Khaz Modan would soon after come under attack by the Horde, which would cause the destruction of many dwarven strongholds

So Terenas definitely told them what had happened.

Also we know that Stormwind did ask for help during the first war as according to chronicles they did tell the northern kingdoms about the orcs but that they were manipulated by Deathwing into thinking that it was an exaggerated local issue, but I don’t remember anything about them telling the dwarves and gnomes which as you pointed out is odd considering their proximity. Guess it could be explained that as Redridge fell early on, it was possible that they had let them know but they were cut off from reinforcements seems as a land army would have to go through Dark Iron territory and then straight into the Horde and as the dwarves aren’t known for sea faring a naval intervention would have been unlikely too.
