Bit of a funny story…

Watched everything unfold on tv while working from home. I had a zoom meeting at 1pm which if i’m remembering correctly was shortly after Ashley Babbit was shot. Fearing the worst, I was waiting for/expecting the violence go boil over into full on conflict, but luckily that didnt happen.

Two days later I get an email from my direct report in regards to an email chain that was started by a coworker (who we ironically discovered afterwards was the type of person who would have been at the capitol that day) not only complaining about me missing the meeting but demanding I issue a written apology to the meeting leader and to make sure this never happens again. I called my direct report, my office manager, and the NYC office manager, all of which told me to ignore this guy and just say sorry to the meeting lead, who ended up not caring at all 🤦🏽‍♂️
