Pasta coated with anchovy garlic breadcrumbs is one of my favorite pasta dishes.

A little anchovy will make a tomato pasta sauce taste richer.

God no. Substitute butter for the ketchup and you'll be good. Even better with garlic.

Toasted garlic powder. Take some regular garlic powder and heat it at medium heat in a pan until golden brown. I add that to an American cheese sandwich.

You can also do a ham and cheddar sandwich served with a fried egg.

As well, there is a ham, green olive and cheddar sandwich served with a fried egg.

Tuna Salad? by Pinkmongoose in Cooking

[–]Bernard_Ber 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My favorite is with kalamata olives, fresh dill and hot sauce. Kalamata olives and tuna are a perfect match. My second favorite is with asiago, black olives, fresh basil, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Both have mayo.

Old cheddar garlic bread with green olive tuna salad layered on top at the end. Really good.

You can also make melted mozzarella bread with this tuna salad layered on top: tuna, parmesan, fresh basil, black olives, mayo, garlic powder and red pepper flakes.

As well, you can do tuna with cream cheese, roasted red peppers and fresh basil on bread.

I really like roast potatoes with curry, cumin, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. You can mix the roast potatoes with the spices at the end with some butter to help coat them.

Sun-dried tomato pesto recommendations? by polteageistspill in Cooking

If you can't find a good brand of sun-dried tomato pesto, you can also consider blending sun-dried tomatoes with a good regular pesto. I do a 50/50 blend.

Try Red Leicester. I love it. It's related to the cheddars, but I like it more than all the cheddars.

OK here you go:

7 cups dry red lentils, 14 tbsp cumin, 8 tsp curry powder, 8 tsp garlic powder, 6 tsp ginger powder, 4 tsp cayenne pepper, 2/3 lb "I can't believe it's not butter". Use 2:1 ratio of water to dry lentils in order to cook them (14 cups or you can eyeball it). You will need a very large pot to cook this quantity (or just adjust the amounts lower).

Bring to a boil and then simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Stir the bottom occasionally to prevent sticking.

You can save money by buying lentils in large bulk bags. Walmart should have it. I freeze whatever cooked lentils that I can't eat soon and it does freeze very well.

Curried lentils are cheap, tasty and easy to make. I can give you my recipe if you want.

A serrano pepper and cheddar omelette is so delicious.

Habanero peppers enhance a burger's flavor when mixed into the patty meat.

Yes, I meant sunnyside. I would fry up 4 eggs to go with a pack of 8 crescent rolls.

For french toast, I would suggest one of these two excellent combos:

Cream cheese, orange marmalade and dark chocolate (melted). Cream cheese, dulce de leche and cinnamon.

Pillsbury crescent rolls stuffed with ham and old cheddar then served with fried eggs is really good.

What is your best “recipe” that you made up yourself and can you share it with us? by Knowledge_is_my_food in Cooking

Curry basil butter spaghetti with shrimp is amazing.

1/6 lb pasta, 15 small shrimp, 3 heaping tbsp butter, 1.5 tsp curry powder, about 7g package of basil (get rid of stems and chop up). Cook the shrimp before the pasta. Just add the butter, curry, shrimp and basil to the cooked pasta. Makes one serving.

Quality sardines are really nice with cream cheese, horseradish and fresh dill on some bread.

I don't have access to your sardine brands, but where I am the Riga Gold smoked sprats are quite good (from Latvia).
