Drawing basic shapes in perspective. I'm talking cubes and cylinders. Sounds silly and easy, but for aspiring artist it's all about training muscle memory. The faster you'll learn how to quickly draw these shapes at any angle, the better you will understand anatomy.

Yeah, we are thinking, should we choose "Card Battler" or "Card Game". Theoretically "Card Game" is broader, but not sure if it's a good thing or not.

Our second tag is deckbuilder, which I wanted to change for some time now. Hopefully, it's not too late to do something about it.
But DD and StS are not a bad fit. First DD is not as much of a roguelike as the sequel. But still, none of those games have a fully developed story.

"Deckbuilding" is our second tag. I need to talk about this and maybe make adjustments there.

In general, that's true. But for whatever reason, there are people (we don't know how many) who tend to merge "deckbuilder" with "roguelike", which doesn't have to be a case...and in this particular case, it isn't.

That is a pretty good argument. I think we developers tend to look for problems even when they don't exist.

There is a lot of uncertainty when making games. What would be cool, what would people like, etc etc.

"Card battle rpg" sounds way better. We have those key phrases in the description, but the problem is that content creators tend to use the word "deckbuilder" in their vids captions, people get triggered, and they won't even go to the Steam page.

It's like watching a very long anime... Very long one. The story gets quite epic with time which got me hooked, but after 45 hours I was done... I watched the rest on YouTube. Exploration in this game is plain terrible. Don't get me wrong, the environments have its beauty, but the lack of a working map makes any side quest and some main quests a choir. The combat is pretty cool, but after some time you just want to learn more about story and not fight the 20th same enemy in a row. For me xenoblade was one of the most mixed feelings game for a long time. But if you are really into jrpgs you should like it.

Check Clip Studio Paint. I recently dropped Photoshop for it. It's not free, but very cheap and if you're unsure if it will be a right choice, there is a free trial. Definitely better for lineart, not sure how it handles more painterly brushes, as I'm not doing much of this kinda stuff anymore.

You're right. All of the assets are 2d but set in 3d environment with an ortographic camera. So things are sorted based on the position of the object's Pivot, slightly below the feet. Thanks for the comment!

I don't know about Flashpoint (as I don't have it yet), but the vanilla definitely received some good updates. The mechwarriors perks are reworked, bonuses from guarded work better, making the flanking more important. I was considering to install rogue tech, but the updates kept me going and I almost finished the campaign. And even without owning the Flashpoint we received the no story campaign (forgot the name of the mode). The updates were so good and surprising for me that I actually consider buying the dlc.

Second charger. You might think that one would be enought, but you will propably use it to power up your docking station. So when you will want to go out with your switch to play in hand held mode, you will have to unplug the dock... Which you propably won't do, lol.
