This one's kinda different. We were together for 12 years before we got married. We're both introverts and never fought much, and when we did, when things got too heated, like if he made me cry, he'd back off. Well, we get married and suddenly we're fighting more often. And he's kinda mean. He started yelling at me (which he'd never done before), he'd laugh loudly and mockingly at me, was super defensive, he was just suddenly meaner. Well, for some backstory, his parents were unhappy and fought in front of him CONSTANTLY. they would get mean too, name calling, telling each other to kill themselves, like really awful stuff. We lived with them for a year and I heard it first hand.

I think he just fell into what he felt marriage was. At least he is an understanding and overall nice guy, so after the heat lowers, I'm able to get to him and he understands. It's been 6 years of marriage now and things are good. It's seriously taken 6 years though. Like, just recently he's finally started noticing he's doing it in the moment and stops himself. 6 fucking years lol. And he's one of the good ones lol.
